  1. I tried repeatedly over several days to get a 4* in Newport Beach. Finally got the Fairmont after multiple free rebids, starting at $75 and incrementing up by $4 and then $2. I knew I could get a room for under $100 when Priceline counteroffered at $103 after my first bid. Thanks to BetterBidding, I had a pretty good idea that the hotel was the Fairmont or the Hyatt.
  2. Started the bidding at $86 for a 4-star, raising it in $5 increments using free rebids. Ended up with my preferred zone at a very reasonable price!
  3. Started bidding at $50 for a 4-star hotel in the Historic District, incrementing by $5 each bid, adding Rittenhouse and Convention Center (I would have been happy anywhere in downtown). Added Cherry Hill as a free rebid (no 4-stars there) and got the Hyatt Penns Landing on the fourth bid. Never stayed there, but very much looking forward to staying on the water.
  4. Started bidding at $70, using free rebids to add other districts in increments of $5 or, in one case, $6. Landed the Westin on my last bid. Very happy -- my friend says it is a beautiful property.
  5. Bid $60 for just LAX. Bid $65 after adding Lawndale. Bid $70 after adding Culver City. Finally accepted. Total with taxes and fees is $87.55.
  6. Started bidding at $70, then used free rebids to bid $75 and $80, which was accepted. This is a great deal -- previous Priceline stays at this property were about $30 a night more expensive. Sorry, I forgot to put this in the title, but this was a 4* bid.
