March break... very pricy. Started at about $50 a few weeks ago and have been slowly bidding up on 3.5* in rebid areas. Wanted the doubletree (3.5*+) and got this - a bit disappointed as it will be harder to get to without a car, but not the end of the world. Hyatt Regency Bonaventure 250 Racquet Club Road Weston, FL 33326 954-616-1234 4* $90/night ($108.53 everything in) They do have a free shuttle to Sawgrass mills, which is nice (although timing sucks). Going to see a Panthers game so it is still fairly close (6 miles)

I'm curious about this... I'm trying to get a hotel in Clearwater Beach (4*, the hyatt) for 1 night during March Break - I know this is one of their highest weeks. I've bid up to $150 a night, and don't want to go much higher. What I'm curious about is if the minimum amount they will take changes as the dates get closer? Does it typically rise or fall? I.e. a $145 bid that was rejected last week, is accepted today - does that happen? All things being equal EXCEPT for the date of the bid. Thanks Mat

Sheraton Crystal City Hotel Check-In Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 03:00 PM Check-Out Monday, March 12, 2012 at 01:00 PM Sheraton Crystal City Hotel 1800 Jefferson Davis Highway Arlington, VA 22202 Started at $55 yesterday on 3*, tried $56 today on 3.5* and got this. Going to fly out at 7am and luckily the hotel has 5am airport shuttle, so that saves another $20 in cab fares. Love it - may add another night at the end of the trip if I can get this price. Sheraton wanted close to $300 for this (I'm an SPG member so called to check first) Now just have to find parking... hotel wants $22.50 for parking per night, have found it online for $9 (same lot) so may bite on that.

Holiday Inn New Orleans French Quarter 124 Royal Street New Orleans, LA 70130 504-529-7211 Accepted on first bid for $40 for 1 night (March 13th) Guess I should have gone lower. Another group in my party is paying 4x this rate at the holiday inn 1km away! I feel good :) :) - Mat
