  1. Started at $80 3.5* Copley, added $5 Fenway, added $5 Brighton, added $5 and won. Thanks, Better Bidding!
  2. Bid $80 and PRICELINE responded with "Bid $100 now" and win type message without changing any other parameters so I did. $100 is an okay price for the Sheraton on a Sunday. Probably could have gotten it for $90 or $95.
  3. Got $51 again! The best Priceline price for a 4* hotel in Providence during low season.
  4. Went up to $100 with 4*, then added 3.5* and restarted at $80. Finally got a bite at $90.
  5. Wow - whatever is going on that week in Boston is really jacking up hotel prices! I followed the post by Liset and was able to get $5 less coming in at $131 for the Sheraton, but that is far from the normal good deals to be had on Priceline. Oh, well.
  6. Got $51 for the Renaissance on the first try. Surprising since this is the tail end of spring break season.
  7. Got $51 for the Renaissance on the first try. Looks like $51 is the bottom threshold for offpeak times for the Renaissance.
  8. Started at $51 as in prior Priceline wins for 4* Downtown and used all the other rebid zones at $56, 61, 66 - no luck. Came back 2 days later and tried $71, then Priceline immediately forced me up to $86 and I won the Westin. There may be a chance for a slightly lower winning bid.
  9. 3.5* and 4* hotels in Copley - Theatre District seem to be pretty booked the period from 4/19/10-4/26/10. There's the Boston Marathon going on on the 19th but it appears the hotels are still packed afterwards. My target was a 3.5* or 4* in Copley on 4/25/10-4/26/10. Yesterday, I tried all the free bid zones going up in $2 increments starting at $64 all the way to $120 and got rejected via multiple sessions. Oddly, today, I started at $95 and got accepted on my first try. Perhaps this is spring break and college visiting season so rates are high. I'm still trying for a mid week stay on 4/22/10-4/23/10. Bid up to $120 and still no cigar. Bidding strategy for getting a 3.5* or 4* in Copley Copley - opening bid Brighton (free bid) Fenway (free bid) Medford (free bid) N Cambridge (free bid) South Boston (free bid) Hope that helps those trying for that week.
  10. Wanted the Radisson because it is ranked #8 in all of Boston (ahead of the Sheraton and Hilton in Back Bay despite being lower star rating at 3* instead of 3.5*). Radisson offers free internet and good sized rooms. Got it on the first try. Thanks betterbidding!
  11. First bid for $51 for 4* was rejected for 4/22/10-4/25/10 even though I just got the same bid accepted for 2/25/10-2/28/10 for the Renaissance. Second bid for $55 for 3.5* accepted by Providence Marriott Downtown.
  12. First try to get $51 for the Renaissance, which is one of the top 3 hotels in Providence right now. Great deal. Thanks betterbidding for the info!
  13. First bid for $61 at 4* got rejected. Second try using 3.5* got accepted. Total per night with taxes = $74.51 per night!
  14. Got 3 nights at $51 plus taxes and fees = $182.47 or $60.82 per night all inclusive! Thanks, PUMom for the last post that helped me choose such a low bid. It got accepted on the first try. I guess tourism is WAY down in Providence. I LOVE THIS SITE! Thanks for keeping it up and running.
