  1. The ammenities have either just changed since I saw the deal on HOTWIRE, or I misread them unfortunately. Ammenities are in fact: Restaurant Pool Business Hi speed internet (not fitness - which would have made a match for Hilton) Could be anywhere now I guess.
  2. 5/21 - 5/23 (2 nights) $66 Restaurant Pool Fitness Business A match for Hilton Anaheim. Would this be your best guess Thereuare? I'd once again appreciate your valued opinion on this hotel and whether this is a good deal or not, or whether there are better deals around. (Any other friendly members who may read this - I'd appreciate your help as well!!!!) As I've previously posted, my parents and I are from Australia and are travelling around the US for 3 weeks in May. This will be our last destination before heading back home to Oz. Would love to end with a lovely hotel to cap off our trip around America. Thanks in advance, will use your HOTWIRE link when I commit.
  3. Thanks again Gallus50 for taking the time to help. What a great board this is!
  4. Thanks GALLUS50. I've just finally worked out HOTWIRE and how to pretty well confidently identify the hotels (We don't have HOTWIRE or PRICELINE in Australia). I like the fact I can predict which hotel it is before committing. PRICELINE frightens me a bit though because am I right in thinking there's no way to acurately predict which hotel you're going to get -just a star rating. If that's the case, I'd rather pay a bit more on HOTWIRE and know with a fair degree of certainty which hotel it is. I'll take your advice about the other zones. Thanks for helping!!!
  5. Thanks thereyouare. I reckon you're right and I take on board your advice about taking a deal when it's offered and possibly missing out if you wait. Our three week trip around the US in May is a once-in-lifetime holiday for my parents so I want to make every hotel we stay in a really special experience. After now carefully reading the T/A reviews for Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express, I have decided however that I'm going to hold out for a 3.5* property. I'm going to take the gamble and try for that little bit of extra luxury. I appreciate your invaluable web site and will make my bookings through your link. Thanks for your help again.
  6. Apologies. I'm still new. I just saw a previous topic asking about almost the same dates - and it was Holiday Inn. Does this almost guarantee it would be Holiday Inn for my dates as well? I would still value your opinion thereuare as to whether I should wait for Hilton, and as to how Holiday Inn compares with Holiday Inn Express. Want to make sure our holiday in the States is perfect.
  7. 3* Fisherman's Wharf 5/18-5/21 (3 nights) $82 Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Center High-speed Internet Laundry With as much certainty as you can, do you agree this is Holiday Inn? (I see that whilst nightly rates for other hotels in this area appear to decrease closer to the dates, this one offers the $82 rate well in advance.) I will be booking two rooms (one for me, one for my parents). I was then going to try for inter-connecting rooms if it is. We want to stay somewhere close to everything and in nice surrounds and in a nice hotel . What is your valued opinion on this hotel? I am considering Holiday Inn Express as well (for the free breakfast) - how does the Holiday Inn compare with Holiday Inn Express at Fisherman's Wharf? Sorry if it's not exactly on the same thread, but I was also considering holding out for the Hilton - would you recommend it over Holiday Inn or would I be happy with the standard of the Holiday Inn (I do ike the fact there is a Denny's attached to the Holiday Inn as it is more the budget level of dining for my parents and I.) Thanks from down-under!
  8. Thanks for that! Unfortunately it doesn't sound like my sort of hotel. Will wait for another offer or maybe upgrade to 4 stars. Will use your HOTWIRE link when I wind up taking an offer.
  9. Please help ID 3.5* Times Square Hotel. Fitness, Restaurant, Business Centre, Hispeed Internet. 3.5/5 T/A rating 340+ reviews. 5 nights 5/6 - 5/11. $139 p/n.
  10. Thanks for your assistance. You were right. It was the Kyoto Grand Hotel and Gardens. Happy with that all the same - certainly can't complaint at the price. Saved 45%.
  11. I also see that the HOTWIRE shows that the hotel has a 3.5 star T/A rating from 80+ reviews. The 3.5 rating matches both hotels, but one difference is however that search on T/A shows that the rating on Sheraton is from 85 reviews whereas the rating on Kyoto is from 92 reviews. Because HOTWIRE says the rating is based on 80+ reviews (rather than 90+ if it was the Kyoto), does that mean it is most likely the Sheraton?
  12. I'm hoping it's Sheraton Downtown. Can you comment as to why the Sheraton is more likely? When I search now the price is $69 per room regardless of the combination of adults/children. Does that narrow it down between the two?
  13. I'm a newbie from Australia. My check-in date is May 3 2009 for 3 nights in Downtown LA. Hotwire shows 3.5* hotel for $89 per night with fitness, restaurant, business centre, and high speed internet. Can you suggest which hotel this is? PS I'm searching for 2 rooms. If I enter 3 adults, I get $89 per night. If I enter 2 adults/1 child, I get $69 instead.
