I went with the $68 4.5* in downtown Houston. It did turn out to be the Hyatt Regency. I've always wanted to stay there, so this will be a nice little staycation. I did go through the Hotwire link in your reply. Thanks for your help.

I selected the 4.5*, and I am more than happy to say it is indeed the Charleston Place! Who knows what kind of room we will wind up with, but I suppose I don't really mind. I've heard it's one of the best places to stay in Charleston, and since this is a special trip for us (mainly, my wife putting up with me ;) and our first trip together without our child with us), it's worth it.
