  1. I ended up not booking on hotwire or priceline and directly with the hotel for $98 per night
  2. I am looking for a 4* or Resort on Marco or Sanibel/Capitva. When I type in "resort" on Marco, I only come up with 2 : Marriott or Hilton and I have stayed at both before. The list price is about 419 for Hilton and 499 for Marriott. Am I safe bidding on these at about 50% off. Would other resorts come up? Any advice for Sanibel/Captiva. It is for 3 people: 2 adults and 17 year old son. Yesterday I could have had the Hilton for 199 on Hotels.com
  3. I am trying to get to Hyatt Deerfield for the weekend of 11/18- 11/21. I am confused because the price on Priceline is 189 but I have read on this list that people are getting it for about 40 or 50 dollars. Can you advise? Thanks L
  4. Update: I bid 45$ per night on Priceline for the Deerfield IL area 4/3/09 to 4/7/09 using the PRICELINE link from Better Biddling and won the Hyatt Deerfiled. Thank you
  5. Linda -- what would your best guess be for a price on Priceline for North Shore 4* and also on Priceline for a 3.5* for Deerfield. I did the Calendar of wins and could not find anything for either one. I did see another Hyatt in another suburb (maybe Schamburg or Arlington Heights) for a 3.5* between 42 and 45. Linda S
  6. I would like to stay at a 4 star in Northbrook or a 3.5 star in Deerfield 4/3 - 4/7. Can give me recommendations on what to bid and what hotel I will get. In Northbrook I would like to stay at the Rennisance and in Deerfield at the Hyatt or Embassy Suites. The cheaper the better. Should I use hotwire or priceline.
  7. A friend needs to have a medical procedure done at the hospital and needs to do a prep for it so he needs to be as close to the hospital as possible. i.e. he needs to travel as little as possible to get to the hospital. Which would be the best, priceline or hotwire or Orbitz.
  8. I need help finding a hotel near this address: 5 East 98th Street, NY, NYC 10029 I think this is the Central Park Area. I need it to be at least a 3.5. Dates of stay are 3/11-3/12 Thanks Linda
  9. Do you have any places you recommend for dinner for my husband and daughter? She is 18. They fish, steak, asian, greek and mexican. Italian is a problem as she is allergic to wheat.
  10. Dear Aaron, I did Hotwire and tried the 3.5* for 74 and won! It is the Doubletree. I used the HOTWIRE link from your site. :) Thank you so much for all of your help. My husband will be estatic. He was booked at the Marriott for 175 a night (group rate) and taxes were not included. Linda
  11. I am looking for a 4* *or a 3.5* within walking distance of 540 N Michigan Avenue with at least 2 double beds. Around between 80-120$ On hotwire I am looking at the 3.5* for 74 and the 4* for 105 in the Magnificent Mile Streeterville Area. I was told that the3.5 is probably the Doubletree do you have a best guess on what the 105 is? Linda
  12. They said the hotel was not available and there inventory is only updated once per day. I would like to put in a bid for a 4.5 star hotel in the area of the Marriott. What do I pick? and is this only available on Priceline and not hotwire? Thanks What would be a good bid?
  13. America PRICELINE EXPRESS says the charge went through to hotwire. Now what???
  14. It is giving me an error code of error #405. Do you know what this is?
  15. Aaron, I am ready to book this and I found on hotwire, a 3.5* for 74 is that what you were referring to as a 3.5* for $78. Thinking it was probably the Doubletree? Thanks Linda
  16. Thanks Aaron, geographically the Intercontinental looks good-- any advice would be appreciated. L
  17. I am new to this site and was wondering if you could help me get a hotel room for my husband attending a meeting at the Chicago Marriott this week. 2/26 thru 3/1. The Marriott is at 540 N Michigan Avenue. My daughter is going to meet him there. We need a room with 2 beds in it. I was hoping for at least a 4* around a $100 or slightly more. Is this possible. Any advice would be appreciated. If possible walking distance to the Marriott. Thanks Linda
