  1. Thanks for the advice. We wouldn't mind ESB and MSG either, but am wary about the Milenium UN since it a good 15 min. BTW would how much should I bid for a 4star for the period just in case.
  2. We intend to bid for 3.5 star property either in MTE, MTW & CPS. Last year we had a good stay at The Benjamin for $124/- and was wondering whether we could get a 3.5 star property for less than $110/-. Proximity to a subway is a must as that would be our main transportation mode. We dont particularly like TS area. Any advice on strategy would be of a tremendous help. Tks
  3. :) Been trying to nail the Sheraton or Westin as we need just 1 night stay to catch the Amtrak back to Vancouver on 7/14. Started off 75 with $2 increments up to $96.00 accepted Offer $96.00 Taxes $22.12 Total $118.12 Seems on the high side compared to what has been reported for July 09. But am happy as the hotel web is selling above $250. Used PRICELINE link. Thanks for a wonderful site...
  4. :) Wanted only to stay either CPS or MTE and was hoping for Le Parker Meridian or The Hyatt. I deduced that I had about 7 free rebid zones (which I may be wrong) Started with $90/- with increments of $2 and was offered to top-up $22 when I reached $114. Refused Finally accepted at $124 - The Benjamin - details below Offer Price: $124.00 No. Room: One No. Nights: 7 Subtotal: $868.00 Taxes: $174.52 Total: $1042.52 Questions: - It says on the web breakfast provided during summer. Will we get it as we used PRICELINE? - Could I have done better as The Benjamin has some mixed reviews - Is this near subways? Used PRICELINE link Thanks
  5. Bid 4* Downtown 65, rejected (was asked to top up 17) Add Cityhall 68, rejected Add Cotquilam 70, accepted Used the PRICELINE link Tks for all who posted thier winning bids which were so much help to me in determining how much to bid. Somehow this year, deals are pretty good in Vancouver. My next leg would be in NYC and I am pretty worried about it as I dont intend to spend more than 100 a nite - is this possible at MTE?
