  1. Amenities Business center Fitness centerInternet access Pet friendlyRestaurant(s) Self-service laundry Smoke-free rooms Accessibility Accessible for visually impaired In-room accessibility There is a $29/night resort fee. Any ideas which hotel would fit this set of information?
  2. Dates: 7/25/15 - 7/30/15 PL EXpress Deal: $133/night Amenities Guaranteed: Pets Allowed, Business Center, Fitness Center I also have a bed choice, which is why I'm leaning toward this deal. Would prefer a deal with 2 beds possible since I am traveling with my mother. The Express Deal gives two options: Room Assigned At Check-in - Sleeps Two Adults - 2 Beds Requested - $133/night Room Assigned At Check-in - Sleeps Two Adults - 1 Beds Requested - $140/night I am trying to figure out which hotel this could be. I'm thinking maybe Hard Rock Hotel or Palmer House HIlton. Any further insights?
  3. Went ahead and booked the 4.5* Gold Coast location at $196/night for all three nights. The property was the Thompson Chicago which will be opening in October. I am very happy with this property. Thanks for all the input and advice from the board! I guess since there were no Hotwire guest reviews/ratings given with this Hotwire listing it would make sense that the hotel was a pre-open property.
  4. This is slightly better. What could this hotel be? Gold Coast 4.5* No percentage given with respect to hotwire users' recommendations! Pet friendly Pet friendly - terms apply Boutique Hotel Property offers a distinctive, unique or eclectic atmosphere. Many boutique hotels are smaller, hip properties in an urban setting, or renovated hotels with historical flair. Smoke Free Rooms Guest rooms at this hotel are always smoke-free. Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply. Restaurant(s) Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary. High-Speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply.
  5. I know - the Marathon is a killer. We are travelling to see a concert with the Chicago Symphony and for a Broadway show at the Oriental Theater. We are willing to do the $214 for the Loop. Even in the nearby zones the best price is only about $175. Do you think it could be Silversmith - which would be an ideal location for our itinerary!
  6. Used the BB link to get to HOTWIRE and am interested in the following Hotwire offer. Is it Crowne Plaza? But I didn't think that hotel has free internet in all rooms. Could it be the Silversmith? Any thoughts are appreciated! Forgot to add the offer price is $214/night.
  7. Searching for hotel on Hotwire for 10/18/11 - 10/20/11. 4* hotel in the Mag Mile / Streeterville area is appearing for $147/night. Amenities include: Boutique Smoke-free Fitness Restaurant Business center High-speed internet Searching the list on this site led me to these three possible hotels: Hotel Sax Hotel Felix Hotel Palomar Hotwire also says this hotel is recommended in 100% of reviews. Does this help narrow down these three choices? When I book, I will definitely use the links through the site! Thanks, ShubertAlleyCat
  8. Amenities listed when I purchased on Hotwire were: Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business This matched one of the descriptions in the Hotwire Hotel List for this property, so I had pretty much figured out this was the one I was likely to get!
  9. Went to HOTWIRE through this site and got the Sheraton. Stayed here before. It's OK, but seems to be a decent price for this time. I was rejected by PRICELINE at 4* for these dates at $250 per night. Glad I decided to try HOTWIRE! And the betterbidding list of properties really helped -- I believed this was the hotel I'd get, and there it was! Thanks!
  10. Got this hotel for $235 per night. Very happy . . . great review of hotel on tripadvisor! Reserved through this site. Thanks, BetterBidding!
  11. Got a great hotel -- Hudson -- stayed there before! Got $140 for Sat. Jun 5 to Thurs. Jun 10. Hotel rooms are small here but hotel is still hip and I am traveling alone. Gotta love the price and location! Thanks for the assistance, Better Bidding! This site has yet to let me down!
  12. I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago when in NYC but I had to pay MUCH more. I am THRILLED with this hotel as it has a great location and fantastic amenities.
  13. Won this bid on PRICELINE. Thanks, BetterBidding!
  14. Well, getting a good room for the whole 7 days did not work with my budget constraints. So I talked to Mama and got her to agree that splitting between two hotels was best. So I began bidding for Priceline just for the weekend -- May 29 to Jun 1. Ended up (going a bit above budget) w/ $145 for Omni Berkshire in MTE -- very happy with this hotel. Also, they let me extend for three more days for a modest increase -- even better! In summary, Omni Berkshire (4* MTE) 3 nights @ $145 3 nights @ $186 Still need a room for the 7th night, but changing hotels for just that last night will be easy. May go w/ HOTWIRE for the last night or try PRICELINE again. In any case, I will use this site. THANKS.
  15. I will use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links and will report the result of my situation! Thanks for the help.
  16. I've used the advice on this board previously . . . it was a great help. On my trips to NYC last summer, I used the rebid strategies outlined with success. I also switched hotels midstay. But this year I cannot change hotels as I will be traveling with my mother. We will be looking to stay for 7 nights. Arrive May 29 & leave June 5. Here are my other constraints: 4* in TSTD, MTW, CPS, MTE (but would do ESB & MSG -- I am familiar w/ the subway) Budget will only allow bidding up to $130 a night. 3* would be acceptable. I guess I'm just wondering that if I want an entire week w/ PRICELINE, will I be able to get something within my budget of $130. Any ideas/strategies would be helpful. Thank you.
