Used the PRICELINE link here on Better Bidding. Puerto Vallarta zone First bid $47.00 for Resort Rejected but was given a free rebid suggestion of $62.00 for Resorts. Entered the $62 and got the Westin. Of course, with taxes it'll be $81. total. Looking forward to our stay!

Need to stay near airport for a long layover. Have been trying for days on Priceline without success, first for a 5*, and then for a 4* but wasn't allowed to bid in increments without changing either * level or dates. Did not want to stay near the airport. Kept reading the advice on this website, and didn't give up hope. Just now, started afresh at $90, 4*, Central, offer declined but I got the "free counter if you bid $115," so I went for it, and crossed my fingers. Imagine my delight to read that my offer was accepted, at $115, and received an upgrade to a 5*, the Zurich Marriott, good reviews on TripAdvisor! Very happy with this win and with this property, and used the PRICELINE link as usual.

Started at $150 for 5* City Center - Museum Quarter Kept adding areas, and increasing amount. Finally was accepted at $170 for Hilton Amsterdam, Apollolaan. Haven't stayed there, but reviews look promising. Saw that this is the busy time, tulips in bloom and rooms hard to get. Researched Internet price for one night stay at Hilton Amsterdam, Apollolaan, all sites show $396.00. Used the PRICELINE link on this website, thank you!

Needed one night in Amsterdam, 08/16/10. Bid for 5* $85.00 Rejected, Instant rebid suggestion of $100.00 Rebid for $100.00 Got the NH Barbizon Palace. Used the PRICELINE link here, thank you! Went to TripAdvisor, and the reviews say the hotel is not a 5*, maybe 3*. Im disappointed that Priceline has it listed as 5*, but Im hoping well enjoy it.

Needed a room for two nights in Zurich, Switzerland, for July 22 to 24, 2010, wanted to be centrally located. Started with Central, 4*, $75 yesterday, not accepted. Did not want to go down to 3* or airport area, so waited 24 hours. Today, entered 4*, Central, $85, not accepted. Was offered a chance to bid $105, without stepping down * level or area. $105 accepted. Crowne Plaza, actually the hotel I was hoping for. Wow, thanks! For my first try, on Monday, for 4* Sonoma/Napa at $110 for 4/16-18, included two zones, after refusal I got one re-bid allowance. I was prompted to add zones, star categories and higher price, so I put in another zone and upped it to $115. The second bid was refused and took me to a page to purchase (without bidding) a 4* hotel in that area for $279.00 per night. I didn't get five re-bids, only one (?) I tried a new bid Tuesday (yesterday), for 4* Sonoma/Napa at one zone, 4/16-18, $120, rejected, at re-bid added zone and upped to $120. Refused, and taken to page to purchase a 4* hotel in that area for $279.00. Again, I didn't get five re-bids, only one. From your explanation, this seems unusual. I happily use the links here, because you provide such a great service.

Bid $100 on 4* for Napa - Sonoma, checked Napa (3) and Sonoma (6). Turned down, increased to $115, and selected Upper Napa Valley (7). Refused. (Had seen $113 winning bid late March for 4* Sonoma on this site) Clicked through on this site to PRICELINE. It's our anniversary, and I know short notice, but was hoping for a nice place at a good price. Any advice? Thank you!!
