  1. You will love this hotel -- I've stayed there many time. One of my favorites.
  2. very good deal.....better than the deal i recently got in the area i love the slide at that hotel.....
  3. I think your best bet is to look at the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins (on this website) to see winning bids. I just got a 3.5* in WDW for $58 per night. You can use that as a reference for your bids. Start LOW if you have plenty of time....whats the hurry?? A 3* looks to go for $50 or so. A 4* looks to go for $80 or so. A resort looks to go for $83-95. I would not stay at a place lower than 3*, buts thats me.
  4. Free parking can be hard to get on a disney property. And, if you are bidding on a "resort" forget it. I've stayed at 2 resorts in WDW/Universal areas in the past 2 months and neither had free parking. Free breakfast??? Slim chance. Unless you somehow get an Embassy Suites on Hilton/Hampton property I would not count on getting this. Shuttle service -- that is a better bet. Anything near Downtown disney you can walk to this area and get disney buses (which are very nice) to any disney area you want. Use PRICELINE to get a good deal -- it is easy to do with so many hotels in the area.
  5. If your price limit is $100 you will have no prob getting a resort. I've stayed in 2 resorts in the Orlando area in the past 2 months. The most I payed has been $87. Universal and WDW have very nice resorts. :) ONE TIP I have is get your flight FIRST. And, I wouldn't get your plane ticket through priceline...air fares are so cheap right now, I wouldn't risk a hastle for saving a few bucks through PL. Go to kayak or Expedia to do your flight!
  6. I think you got a good deal -- I bid $48 for a 3* (different dates) and my bids were rejected. Good deal!
  7. March 27 - 29 2009 Friday to Sunday: 2 Night $58 Winning Bid Per Night. TOTAL : $ 139 TOTAL for 2 nights including all fees. I know its a good deal because it took me a week to get it. I started at $45 for a 3.5* and worked my way up to $58. I must say, the hotel doesn't look that nice from what I see on the website. Looks very average and it doesn't look like a 3.5* I did call the hotel to request 1 king bed and they had no problem with that. Self parking is free. Wish me luck!!! Does anyone have any tips for this hotel????
  8. I just got a winning bid for The Marriott Grande Lakes Resort Orlando. $121 per night...I tried as low as $80 all the way up to $116. $121 was accepted for 3 nights. Feb 26 to March 1. Taxes/Fees were $20 per night. Don't know about a resort fee. Valet Parking (mandatory) is around $17/day based on the web site.
  9. I just stayed there this past weekend. I got it for $87 plus fees for one night. VERY NICE PLACE. Lazy River and pool areas and slide is SWEET! Only downside is location -- not at all close to WDW or Universal. But, it is a great place for familes or for a little family vacation. The resort fee is an additional $16 per night which includes self parking. Well worth it....
