  5. I am planning a stay in Chicago starting July 18 until July 22 for 2 adults and a 15 years old kid. This was a nice property. Does this look like a good option? Any idea which one this willl be ? Is this an expensive period in July? Maybe take a guess using Priceline and hoping for 2 double beds?
  6. A few years ago I have stayed twice in het Westin Newport city. A friend of my, will stay in this area with 5 people coming summer. What kind of ticket/card is the best for them for the Path to New York? I think that they will visit NY 2 or 3 times and after that return to Jersey City. I have bought a 10 rides card a few years ago at a small bookstore in front of the Newport Station. Is that store still selling tickets? Is the watertaxi also an option? Many thanks
  7. Hi Aaron, is it easy to bike from the InterContinental area to Wrigley Field or do we have to ride between a lot of traffic? We are experienced bikes (we live in the Netherlands and lots of people uses the bike on a daily base) Thanks for your advices Arno

The Cubs are not playing when we are town. We also want to bike a nice route. Do you have any advices for this? If we don' t want to use public transport, what is the best way to go to the hotel from the airport? And at the end of our stay from the hotel to the airport? Are there nice priced breakfast options around the hotel?
  15. We have booked the 4,5* Intercontinental in the Magnificient Mile Area - River norh area for $128 for the periode 7/17/14-7/21/14 AaronJB. Thank you for the Chicago advices. If I have more Chicago questions, can I ask them to you in this same topic?
  16. Thank you Thereuare. With the BiddingHelper.com tool I see the same amenities as you do. I like the Essex inn because of the pool for my son. If the other 3 star property is the Homewood, that would be a great option. Homewood Suites does have a pool and free breakfast but these 2 amenities are not shown. I will do a little more searching and hope that Aaron have any extra advices.
  17. I have found in this area a hotel (Essex inn?) for $132 with the following amenities using your HOTWIRE link Free internet Indoor pool Fitness center Pool Restaurant Business center Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel Is this a good guess for this hotel? Is this a nice area for site seeing Chicago or can I better find a hotel in the Magnificient mile area? What do you think of the price for 3* in this area? It is our first time Chicago. We stay there for 4 nights and after that we fly from O' Hara to Denver an start a trip ending in LA. Thank you for the advices
  18. After weeks with no success with Priceline in the 4* area until $125, just saw that the Holiday Inn has dropped his price from 169 to $150. Sure enough the 3* FW was the Holiday Inn. It is great that we have a pool and we are just 2 miles from AT&T park Amenities: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Thanks
  19. @Thereuare Last time you gave us the following information: Taxi from JFK-->Jersey City at $100 'all-in' sounds about right, can probably do it a bit cheaper thru some local companies which i can provide as you get closer to check-in (i'll know of any local specials then too). An alternative to the $100 fare is taking a taxi from JFK-->PATH train (33rd or WTC depending upon which hotel you end up with for the nite of the 14th) which is more like $45 + tolls/tip... then just $1.75/pp PATH to jersey city. Could you provide us with some cheaper options for transport from JFK to Westin Jersey City (or Holland Motor Lodge)? I don't see recent wins for the Westin and the Hotwire price is about 235 usd for that night. I think that we have to stay 1 night in the Holland Motor Lodge. The following morning we walk (or take a cap) to the Westin and drop our suitcases and go to Manhattan with the Path. Thank you
  20. Started bidding with 65 USD in the 3* Burlington region - rejected Added the Williston 3* region and my 70 USD bid was accepted. I think that this is a good price because of the weekend and the holiday season. Of course I have used the PRICELINE link on the board.
  21. Thanks for your advices. We will think about the boattrips. Staying in Manhattan is no option for us for the first night. I will contact you later for the local transport. We have booked the Holland Motor Lodge as a backup hotel for one night. I think it is in walking distance to the Westin (10 minutes) for the case our Priceline bids will fail.
  22. The LSP was unknown for us, reading your comment I think it is not attractive for us. Boattrip will be visiting the Statue of Liberty Island and the crown or maybe sailing on the Hudson with a speedboat. The choice for Statue of Liberty island is first go to Manhattan and than take the boat or take a boat from Jersey City. Can you take the boat from Jersey City, go to Statue of Liberty and end in Manhattan? We like to stay the first night in Westin or otherwise Doubletree, Yourtcard, Hyatt so that the other day we can go directly to the Westin. We arrive at JFK (3 persons) in the late afternoon and want to a taxi or something like that to Jersey City. Do you have any advices on that point? I'm counting on 100 USD including toll and tip, is that right? Thanks for your assistance
