Started at $35 and worked my way up to $42 with about 6 different bids. There are 10 different location options, but only a few have 2.5 stars so was able to keep adding locations and sticking with 2.5 stars. Coupon book rate on this was $63, so good deal there. It is a Baymont though, so 2.5 stars is not a guarantee.

Used the board PRICELINE link. Saw the recent post where the win was at $48 first try, so I went with $47 and got it first try.

Yeah, so if anyone has to stay in Huntersville, don't go for the 2.5 star level. This place is a crap hole- had to move rooms twice and the room still sucks. Kind of surprising- usually PRICELINE 2.5* is just fine. Not this time.

tried $35 on 3.5 stars- no luck, tried $37 on 3 stars-no luck, added S. Newport News and jumped to $50 cause I had to have them and bingo. Used board PRICELINE link to make bid.

Oh, I also forgot to mention that the place was in a fine neighborhood. Absolutely nothing around but a few office buildings, but the metro is about a 1/2 mile away.

Sorry- should have noted that I always use board PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links. I think I have a better success rate with PL when I use the board.

What do you have against that Radisson? I probably have stayed there 2 dozen times and never had a problem, other than the treadmills suck. Oh, and the occasional 6th grade field trip making a bunch of racket. Another question- how is that Landover Courtyard? I am due in there next week.

got it on the 1st try. Apparently Priceline has changed name of zone- it also looks like they modified the area some too. I've stayed in Largo/Landover countless times, but never here. I am a little worried- there can be some bad neighborhoods up there.

Took a few tries- I started with $40 and 3.5* Hampton only, then $45 added Newport News, then $46 added 3* The new PRICELINE EXPRESS booking wanted $49, so I saved enough to buy coffee anyways.

Tried $60 for a 3.5* and priceline countered with $72. Changed to 3* and $62 and got it instantly. Judging by what others paid for this place earlier this year, I probably could have done better.

Tried $50 3*, was offered a chance to rebid @ $65, changed to 2.5* and $52 and got it. 2 rooms. Used board PRICELINE link to bid. Also, fyi, board link is sorta broken. PRICELINE makes you re-enter dates when you get to their website.
