  1. First bid $15 and was rejected. Could not change anything, so I waited the time period & bid again at $17 & won.
  2. First bid $45 for 3* in San Pedro (hoping for the Hilton) but was not accepted - added Long Beach (close enough to where we wanted to be) and upped bid to $48 & won. Taxes & Fees were $12.38 Not sure if this was such a great bid, because there was a bid earlier in the year for the same hotel for $38 & some 4* in the area for around $50-55. But we are satisfied.
  3. I have been researching this site, bf & reading results on Cruise critic. Decided to jump in. Went to Hotwire first to check out things. My dates are May 18-19 for one night post cruise. Hotwire showed a 3 1/2* with a Red S (the Embassy Suite) for $57. I thought maybe I might be able to get it cheaper on Priceline. My first bid was for $40. No results, but they asked me to up the bid $12 to $52. I decided to go $48 and see what would happen, and they accepted my bid. I might have gotten it for a couple of dollars less, but I'm happy! :) Results are: Bid $48 Taxes 5.17 Fee 5.95 Total $59.12 candjwilsn
