  2. Amenities: Free internet, smoke-free rooms, pool(s), business center, spa services, indoor pool(s), fitness center, restaurant(s), internet access, accessible for visually impaired, accessible for hearing impaired, accessible bathroom, roll in shower, accessible path of travel, in-room accessibility, accessible parking Listing indicated this was a boutique hotel. Hotwire rating 90%. TripAdvisor rating 4.5/5. Charges & fees were an additional $23.53
  3. Icons: pool, fitness center, free parking, free internet, free breakfast. Guest Rating: 8+ Total: $58.72 after taxes & fees A nice, very clean hotel with a convenient location to I-29, shopping and restaurants. Highly recommended, especially at this room rate. I likely could have bid on this hotel and saved a couple of dollars but I booked this the night before check-in, so PRICELINE EXPRESS was an easier option.
  4. Amenities: Airport Shuttle, Smoke Free, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa Services, Accessible path of travel Ratings: 4.5 on Trip Advisor, 100% Hotwire recommended
  5. I've since learned that there is a beer festival (2nd largest in Germany) and agriculture festival being held in Stuttgart during my dates. So I gave up on the Priceline/Hotwire route and was able to reserve the highly recommended City Hotel for $145/night. I didn't think I would be successful with bidding on a hotel because most were sold out. Thanks for your help.
  6. I'm almost positive I entered the correct dates. Now I have changed my plans slightly and need September 28 & 29th only. Using Maps & Hotels, the two 5* hotels are listed as $253, 237 and 215. I haven't used this tool before so I'm not sure how it is supposed to guide my bidding. The Altoff website is showing rates of $186 for the 28th and $236 USD for the 29th. Suggestions please.
  7. When I posted on Aug. 20th, the 5* Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin was listed at $245 & $267. Today only Hotels..com shows this 5* hotel but the price is now $487. I think I'm going to have a problem finding a decent hotel in this city within my budget.
  8. Maximum budget is $175/night before taxes & fees, which will likely add another $50. I realize this might be a challenge. Thanks!
  9. I need a room for 2 adults, September 27-30 in the Central area of Stuttgart. I used the Maps.Hotels tool and the 5* Steigenberger on Priceline is $245 and on Hotels..com $267. Priceline "Name your own price" indicates that a 5* is the "best deal". Any advice on a bidding strategy?
  10. When I looked closer at the listing I noticed that in the section titled "Where you'll stay", it indicated that the hotel was 14.5 miles to LHR. This surprised me because I didn't think the zone extended that far. Since I have an early morning flight I decided not to take a chance on this Hotwire deal. I booked the Sofitel through a last minute website and paid $50 more but it included breakfast. I was still able to save $100 compared to the Sofitel website rates. Thank you for your help. Always appreciated!
  11. Those were the amenities listed when I clicked on the green "full amenities". If I hit the red "continue" to purchase button, I get a message..."We couldn't process your request". I've never been able to book through the Easy View link and always have to go back to the BB main page. The search now says that there is "1 left". Thanks for your help.
  12. Looking for 2 rooms, September 19, 2014 for 1 night, 2 adults in 1 room and 1 adult in 2nd room. Bidding Helper amenities for this hotel are: free internet, airport shuttle, smoke free, fitness center, restaurant, business center, internet access, spa services Rate quoted: $124 (on the HW website it indicates this is regularly $212) I am hoping for the Sofitel but the laundry amenity is missing. Would you be confident that this is the Sofitel?
  13. Thanks Yellowdog. In my experience, "the last person got...." resulted in me getting the same hotel as the previous customer but I guess there is no guarantee that would happen. For this stay I decided to reserve a nice 2 bedroom apartment in a great location. There are 3 adults going on this trip now so it was a cheaper option than getting 2 hotel rooms.
  14. Dates: Sept. 5 & 6, 2014 for 2 adults Rate: $122 (regularly $274), 50% off, 1 room left Amenities: free internet, indoor pool, smoke free, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, accessible for blind, in room accessibility, accessible bathroom, handicapped parking When I continued on to the next screen, there was a message that the last person got the Apex International. These amenities do seem to fit. What do you think? I've been using your site for all my searches. Thanks!
  15. I started at $70 - rejected. Added Deltona and increased bid to $75 - rejected. Added Deland and increased bid to $80 - accepted. I could have booked this same hotel as a pl Express Deal with 5% coupon for $85, so I only saved $5 by bidding. Rack rate is $129. It's Spring Break so prices in Florida are very high. I'm happy with this deal. Used betterbidding PRICELINE links. Thank you!
  16. I believe this hotel was available as a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for $60, so my first bid was $50 and it was rejected. I added a new zone....Bowie, TX....and increased my bid to $55 and was successful. Best web rate was $80. This La Quinta was newer and nicer than many that I have stayed in, so we were happy with our PL deal. I used the BB PRICELINE link for all my searches and purchase.
  17. Icons: free breakfast, free internet, pool, free parking, restaurant, business center, casino, fitness center. Guest rating: 8.0 (Guest favourite) Notes: "Includes FREE breakfast, internet, and parking" I used a 5% coupon discount and my total for one night after taxes was $59.87. We had a very nice room, breakfast was good, but internet was a bit slow. Best web rate was $99. Overall pleased with my purchase. Used BB PRICELINE links for all my searches and purchase.
  18. Thanks Thereuare for the suggestion but with taxes & fees it came to $212, which was over my budget. I was successful in booking a room at the Sandton Hotel Pillows Brussels for 110 euros or $142 US (151 euros on the Sandton website). Thanks for your help.
  19. When I went back to PRICELINE EXPRESS, this hotel was no longer available. I've been using your links almost daily to look for other options with no luck. Often a hotel is listed on their Express page but when you select it, a message indicates that it is no longer available. Trickery! There are now 2 adults for the same date, June 26th, 1 night. I would prefer the Grand Place central area in Brussels or an area near the train station as I've learned that the train would be more reliable than an airport hotel shuttle. 4* hotel rates are around $250 and 5* are $350 and up. I would like to bid on a 4*. Any suggestions on a bidding strategy? I was hoping to pay no more than $150 but maybe this isn't realistic. I've researched your site and Brussels is not common. Thank you!
  20. The Sheraton, Crowne Plaza and Hotel Husa don't have pools, and there is a pool icon. The Hotel Husa doesn't appear to be in the airport zone. I would be happy with any of these hotels but none of them seem to fit the Priceline description. I thought it might be the Golden Tulip but they don't allow pets and there is a pet icon. I'm going to watch and wait a few more days before purchasing. I'll return to this site with my decision. Thanks!
  21. I need a room for one night for one adult on June 26th at Brussels Airport, Belgium. Priceline Express (used your link) shows a 4* with these amenities: pool, pets allowed, restaurant, business centre, and fitness centre. Rated 8/10. Price is $117 (save 15% or more). Most 4* airport hotels are listing for $250 and up, so this is a very good deal but I can't figure out which hotel this might be. I am also concerned it doesn't show a shuttle icon, as I would need that option. I noticed that others on this board have been successful on Hotwire with the Sheraton Airport. This would be ideal but the only 4* is $168. My budget is $125 or less. Any suggestions or strategies? Thank you!
  22. Decided not to use Priceline or Hotwire for this stay. I found a condo rental in Old Quebec that would best meet our needs, even though it was much more expensive. I'm always worried about a guaranteed room for 4 people. It would not be a pleasant stay if my Priceline/Hotwire deal only offered us a room to accommodate 2. Thank you for your help. I love the new format for the hotel lists! So much easier and clearer now. Great job!!
  23. I decided to pass on PRICELINE this time around. I got a promotional email from Delta offering 25% off. After the exchange from US to CAN dollars and Priceline fees, I wasn't saving much with Priceline. Decided to play it safe and got a room guaranteed to sleep the 4 of us. Delta is a perfect location plus I took advantage of a double points deal they were also offering. Thanks for your help.
  24. I need a hotel for 4 adults, June 1-3, 2013. There is a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal on PL for these dates with bed choices (I can request 2 beds) and with these amenities: Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Business Centre, Fitness Centre The rate is $129. The location is Convention Centre/Old Montreal/Latin Quarter Area. Could this be the Westin or Intercontinental? Because there is the option to select 2 beds, I thought this would be a safer bet than bidding. Thanks!
  25. June 3-5, 2013 - 2 nights - 3 adults Amenities: Free internet, indoor pool, fitness centre, pool, restaurant, high-speed internet, in room accessibility, accessible bathroom, handicapped parking $84/night - 95% Hotwire approval - 4/5 TA I am pretty sure that this is the Best Western City Centre. It also appears that PRICELINE EXPRESS has this same hotel for $79/night. Is it worth bidding on the regular PRICELINE site? What kind of savings could I expect? Thanks for your advice.
