  2. Still looking for an answer to my original post re: 3.5* Louvre Marais (see above) Thanks!
  3. How come you prefer the left bank? I thought that the hotels in Opera Quarter East were quite decent, and close to Il-de-la-cite, Louvre, d'Orsay...etc. Bahama Junkie
  4. Hi Robyn - what are you thinking right now? On Priceline, seems like you'll get the following: St. Germain - Latin Quarter: Marriot Rive Gauche Champs-Elysees - either Concorde Lafayette or Concorde Saint Lazare Opera Quarter East - Novotel Paris Les Halles On Hotwire, there's a few that look pretty attractive: On certain dates you can get the Paris Westin (Louvre-Marais) for $222, which is a REALLY nice hotel. You can also get the Meridien Etoile for $119 on certain dates, if I am guessing hotels correctly. Any other options you can think of? Bahama Junkie
  5. Hi everyone, Any idea what this hotel is? 3.5* Paris (Louvre-Marais) for $111.00 on Hotwire for May 18 - 21, 2009 Amenities: Boutique Hotel, Business Center, HSIA Looking for decent 3.5-4* hotel in Paris with a good location from May 18 to May 28, 2008. Any other suggestions? Will use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links in exchange for help! -Bahama Junkie
  6. Thanks for the help on this successful bid. I have two followup-questions, if you don't mind: 1) the hotel website states that there is a $15/person resort fee which covers water sports and housekeeping. Is that fee including in my priceline purchase, or do I have to pay this amount in addition? 2) Is there a way for me to get an ocean view room? Thanks for the help! -bahama junkie
  7. Yes, I bought the hotel as per my original post. Thanks again, Bahama Junkie
  8. Thank you for the help! I booked the above hotel using the HOTWIRE link above, and got the Coast Plaza Hotel. Thanks again! -Bahama Junkie

  10. Thanks for the help. Just got the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort from Feb 7 - 11 for $115 through PRICELINE. If anyone else is looking to replicate, my highest rejected bid was $110. this is awesome... any ideas how I can convince them to give me an ocean view room? -bahama junkie
  11. Thanks again for the reply. If I go with priceline, I think I would prefer to try the 3.5 star first up to my price limit before moving on to the resort. I don't intend to stay on the premises all that much because I plan to rent a car and go on some adventure and scuba diving tours. To be honest with you, I am a little hesistant to bid on priceline because of the uncertainty of which hotel I'll get. That was why I wanted to ID the 4 star hotel on hotwire as noted above. I checked the amenities again, and in addition to the amenities listed, there is also golf nearby, spa services, and children's activity program. This smells like Sheraton. Can you confirm? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. I am new at this, and would simply like help with formulating a logical strategy. Sincerely, Bahamas Junkie
  12. Thanks for the quick reply! For Priceline bidding, I am essentially looking for something cheaper than hotwire. So I guess my maximum bid would be ~$140 for 3.5 star or $170 for resort (since hotwire is showing ~$150 for 4 star, and ~$200 for resort) Would you also be able to ID the hotwire properties for me please? I would greatly appreciate your help, and PROMISE to use the links on your site for purchasing hotels. Thank you, -Bahama Junkie
