The only additional amenities were the accessible for the disabled, and I didn't realize I should post those as well. This hotel is no longer available as an option, so there is no way I can go back to list the accessible amenities, which there were 4 of, but I cannot remember the specifics. I will re-visit this if this hotel becomes avaialable again. Thank you.

Please help ID the following Hotel: 3.5* Boston Common - Theatre District - $169/night Mar 22-24, 2013 90% Hotwire recommended Amenities: Smoke Free Fitness Center Restaurant Business Center Hi-Speed Internet I'm guessing it's the Courtyard? (Former Wyndham?) but hoping it's the Doubletree (has it been upgraded to 3.5?) Thank you!!

I ended up bidding on PRICELINE (via BB link). Started with $100 for Nottinghill/Bayswater. Denied. Added The City/London bridge with $90. Denied. Then lastly added Mayfair/Soho @$105. Got the Mercure Bankside! This is what I wanted in the first place! Saved almost $70 from Hotwire standard rate (after taxes/fees). Thanks for all your input. We'll never know what the 3* is unless someone takes it.

Thanks for your reply. It's down to $89 but I'm just wary of the 3* rating, even with the tripadvisor rating of 4. It's also possible that it could in the outermost borders of the "the city-towerbridge" area which would not be as desirable as the Mercure Bankside. I've looked at the possible hotels in the area by reviewing Tripadvisor and the map, and it looks like most if not all the hotels in this area get good reviews. I'll keep you posted if I decide to jump on this.

It is available again for $98. Can this really be the Mercure Bankside if it's only 3*? The standard Hotwire rates (2nd tab) have the Mercure Bankside at 4*s with only 3 amenities: non-smoking, fitness center, and restaurant @ $191.

I was unsuccessful in booking this hotel. After I entered my CC info and clicked to book, I was advised that it was no longer available. I was really hoping it was the Mercure, but now we won't know for sure! Thanks for your input!

Hello Everyone, I found a "mystery" supersaver 4* hotel in London for Oct1-2 for $47 ($65net). I've never seen this before, where the amenities AND location and customer reviews are secret but at a substantial savings. I took the chance and jumped on it, but unfortunately, the room was gone before I could book it. Does anyone know what hotel this could have been? Has anyone had any experience with these "mystery" Hotwire rooms? Again, I've never seen this before and would like to know how often these super savings show up. It might be worth the gamble! Thanks!

I am experiencing the same thing! Last night and tonight, did a search for a hotel at London Heathrow. Found a great rate, for example.. $63. Was going to jump on it, but then reviewed the TOTAL cost. For taxes, it was $73!!! $10 more than the actual room rate, so total for the room would be $136! Could this be correct???!!!! I looked at regular hotel websites, and the taxes were nowhere near 100%+ the room rate. Please let us know what's going on11!

Thank you for sharing your experience and your opinion. I think I will try and bid for the Hyatt Harborside in hopes to save enough to cover parking. I need to double check if the Hyatt discounts their parking for AAA members.

San Francisco (SFO North - San Bruno) zone is what shows on my profile. I'm not sure what showed on my confirmation. Sorry, I didn't reply sooner. The stay was fine, though the reviews were correct about the hotel being "dated" and was a bit noisy, but slept fine and NO BED BUGS!!! Front desk person was AWESOME! Parking is about $7 - 7.50/night as of Jan. 1, 2011 which is still a bargain for the area. Parking wasn't a problem and the hotel is really quite close to the airport and car rental return.

3.5* (Aldine-Bush Airport IAH) Hilton Houston North (formerly Wyndham Greenspoint) $40 3/3/2011-3/4/2011 Started my bid at $30 for 3.5* (Aldine-Bush Airport IAH) = Rejected Added re-bid zone (Tomball) @ $33 = Rejected Added re-bid zone (League City) @ $35 = Rejected Added re-biz zone (Humble) @ $40 = ACCEPTED!!! 1/30/11-1/31/11 Started with 4* bid @ $50 SFO International - Burlingame. Not accepted. Added 3 1/2* @ $53 bid and SFO North - San Bruno. Not accepted. Added 3* and South San Francisco @ $45, ACCEPTED. Thanks! Was trying to avoid the hotels right by SFO that charge for parking.

$52... 7/23-7/25 Started with a $42 bid, rejected but was given the option to immediately try again without changing any options (star rating, dates, area, etc) if I bid $10 more. I figured, at $52, they would offer me something. VERY VERY Happy with results as I was aiming for Marriot Fullerton or Embassy Suites Brea (though, I now realize it is 3* based on previous wins) because I will be bringing my dog. Marriot allows dogs for $35/night and Embassy Suites $30/night. Avoiding Crowne Plaza which does not take pets. I know I was gambling here, but good outcome. Pleased. On my searches, even the dumpiest motels/hotels were starting at $50 with similar pet surcharges. Used your PRICELINE link! Thanks! :)

Thank you all for your help! It IS a great deal! Last August, I paid $330/nt for 3 nights at Millenium Broadway via PRICELINE. It could've been worse, rack rates were over $500. I wish I found this forum sooner. Then again.. August vs. February in NYC... about 60-70 degrees difference!!! eeeek!

Would really like the Millenium Broadway because I'm familiar with that hotel, but I'm not stuck on it.
