Finally got what i wanted!! got 2 rooms in treasure island for 8th may - 10th may. one room for $96 and another room for $99. i booked one room at a time as TI was not showing up if i selected 2 rooms.
of course i used your HOTWIRE link to make both the bookings.

guess you are right. going by another message posted on this forum, i tried hotwire for 8th-10th May for just 1 room instead of 2 rooms (no. of people 3) and got 4* on Central strip for $96. The amenities seem to be a match for treasure island. can you please confirm?

Okay. My family is visiting from my home country and this is their first time in Vegas. I want to give them experience of living on the strip in a casino. we are total 6 people and will need 2 rooms with 2 queen beds. my maximum budget is $100/day per room. Our group includes my parents and cousins so I would not prefer to stay in places like Planet Hollywood which are termed as more young and loud.

Thank you for your reply. We have decided not to go ahead with Trump as they have addtional $20 charge plus parking is not free. Can you please help us in identifying the following hotels? The date of travel is 9th-10th May, 2009. Also what does the following mean?
