  1. I have recently failed in bids to DC zones DuPont Circle, Downtown, Capitol Hill, White House, Convention Center and Georgetown for 3/3.5/4 stars. My last bidding ended at $91; any suggestions; I have reached the high bid reports for these zones and star ratings
  2. PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for 2* Fayetteville/Fort Bragg with amenities being free breakfast, restaurant, non-smoking, pet friendly, fitness center, pool; I was bidding on 3* and had been turned down up through $62 (the Ramada has been the only successful 3* bid), but Baymont shares the building with Ramada, so I stopped bidding and took the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal when I was 95% certain it was the Baymont.
  3. I was shopping for Price.line deals for 8/2 - 8/5 for 2 Adults and 1 teenager for 1 room, is there any particular way to request this in the system.
  4. I clicked on your links. Unfortunately, still no success today, denied up to $96 downtown for 2.5* and up, adding in South Beach Central, Ocean Drive and Collins as rebid zones. The entire Hilton seems unavailable, which is killing this bid as it was the most successful hotel downtown with accepted bids reported on this site recently for $60, $65 and $78.
  5. I am failing miserably on PRICELINE bidding for 1 night after a cruise in downtown Miami on Friday night February 28. I have completed 21-25 failed bids for 2.5 and up, bidding in downtown, then using the three South Beach zones as additional rebids. I am current up to $90 on failed bids. I tracked a year's worth of reported wins on this site in downtown and 7 different hotels had accepted wins at 90 or less. Any help?
  6. Priceline express deal for 4* at $85 with amenities of indoor/outdoor pool, restaurant, business center, fitness center aned casino.
  7. 4* $83 with amenities indoor pool, smoke free rooms, fitness center, pool(s), restaurant, business center, high speed internet, spa services, children's activity center. Based on review of Hotwire hotel list, believe this may likely be Sheraton on the Falls. Can anyone lend an opinion.
  8. Used Priceline to bid on downtown Chicago hotel; i was specific that had to stay at River North area, so used 3 bids per day - 4/3.5/3* Priceline did counteroffer a 4* bid at $62, which I turned down and continued to submit 3 bids per day.
  9. I started low bidding more than a month ago, at $65 and bid only the downtown zone using 4*, 3.5*, 3* and 2.5* star rating incremements. I avoided the 2* as that would have brought in the EconoLodge.
  10. SDF and Clarksville-Jeffersonville are the other two zones besides downtown; thus far i have been rejected up to $86 and have bid 4/3.5/3/2.5 star; going to 2 star would bring in the Econolodge downtown and the candlewood/best western/hampton inn in clerksville-jeffersonville
  11. we are fine all the way down to 2.5*, we are going for the Who concert, I had been open to Expo Center area and riverfront on the Indiana side,
  12. I have been actively bidding downtown Louisville for 2/16, one night, 4 star through 2.5 star, and have gone as high as $78 a night, but cannot get a positive response from any hotel. My previous times downtown I have been successful in the $40s through $60s and always ended up with the Galt house. Any suggestions on where to take my bidding?
  13. Can anyone help identify 2* SDF/Expo Center hotel for one night on 2/16 that includes amenities of free parking, free breakfast, business center, hi-speed internet access? I reviewed all 2-star hotels on hotwire and all have more amenities listed than just these four.
  14. Began bidding at $51 downtown, priceline countered at $62; i declined and went to $52 and added south side; after decline, went to $53 and added north shore; after decline increased to $54 and added Greentree and was accepted at Sheraton Station Square.
  15. The amenities listed were: fitness center, business center, restaurant I was actually disappointed with this result as the hot rate price was advertised to be marked down from $127 USD. If you search other booking websites (Priceline was $97) and the Tryp website itself, the rate was 75 Euros or approximately $97.50 USD I feel hotwire did not portray an accurate list price on this hot rate.
  16. I began bidding at $70 for 5* in Prague (East). This was rejected but Priceline countered with a request to increase bidding to $82. I denied the increase request and rebid at $72 24-hours later and was successful.
  17. Can anyone assist in identifying the following hotel in Paris, 3/13 - 3/16: Location: Eiffel Tower star rating: 4-star $135 per night Amenities: Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service), High-Speed Internet Access 70% of Hotwire users recommend
  18. I bid two zones for 4* - Westminster and Mayfair/Soho. I began at $103.00 and increased by $2 each bid. On the 6th try, $115 was accepted in Westminster zone
  19. my wife and i are traveling through Paris March 13 -16. My Priceline bidding thus far has been a failure, even with $20 bonus cash. I have been bidding Opera West and rebidding Opera East. I am on my 12th rejection, with last big rejected at $132.67. I have been completing $1 incrememnts since I have some time. In reading successful bids in this area, I am in the middle of some of the lower bids accepted. I have hesitated to add Eiffel zone, Arc or Latin Quarter because the most accepted bids are Pullman (Eiffel) and Marriott (LQ),as well as Lafayette (Arc) which are further on the outskirts than my wife asked to stay. I would going to add 3 star, but would have to drop my bid price significantly. Any advice? I do not mind dropping to 3 star, but the quality seems to drop off with the lack of guaranteed 7 or higher reviews.
  20. Went on HOTWIRE this morning and booked Sat. and Sun. 2/28 - 3/2 for $96 for 4.5* Central Strip, which turned out to be Caeser's Palace! Plus I get a $10 mail-in rebate using Hotwire with the Entertainment Book, so, it will be $91 per night when all is ssaid and done.
  21. Im taking my wife for her first Vegas experience and am looking to stay on the Strip those 2 nights so i would like to stay at one of the themed resorts to give her that experience (which is why i'm fearful of priceline bidding on 4* south as the westin comes into play); previously i stayed in Henderson and drove onto the strip. Apparently this is NASCAR weekend, so maybe i chose a bad weekend to go. Tripres has Tropicana advertised for $64 per night. I have used priceline faithfully and never hotwire before. I was recently toosed off of TOBB for simply asking a question, so i'm done with that site forever and glad to find this one. We do not need 5* It seems to me that hotwire rates change everyday. Is there a way to tell which hotels are which on hotwire - is it by amenties?
