ended up booking... 4* - west hollywood/beverly hills - chamberlain west hollywood 2/14 -2/15, $143 suite fitness center pool internet and yes i did use the HOTWIRE link. :)

so i've been trying to decipher how to figure what hotels matches what, based on trip advisor ratings, # of reviews, and most matched amenities here's what i came up with... if anyone can double check i'd appreciate it so i know i'm not off my rocker. 4* - hollywood area == Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel $149 fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet 4* - downtown LA == The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites $109 fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet 4* - santa monica - venice - marina del rey == Venice On The Beach Hotel $229 suite, near beach, fitness center, pool, business center, spa on another note, this hotel i couldn't find anything on it. it had no trip advisor stats on it in hotwire... any ideas? 4* - century - westwood $219 fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet, nearby golf thanks again. sorry for being a noob.

i originally wanted to stay in the beverly hills/west hollywood area, but didn't like the hotels based on yelp reviews. so i broadened the parameters and found the 4* hotels w/in 10 miles of my destination. just trying to find which one is better at this point.
