Hotwire rate of $53 was La Quinta Inn and Suites in Roswell, New Mexico for one night. Amenities include complimentary breakfast, fitness center, pool, business center, laundry facilities and high speed internet. On-line rate was $94 on all searches. I am very happy with this result. :)

:) Checked website for Grand Canyon (Tusayan) and matched Holiday Inn Express Grand Canyon. Amenities: Complimentary breakfast, pool, high speed internet. Was happy to find anything close to the Grand Canyon park entrance. Check in 5/29, checkout 5/30 for $152 plus tax for $174.88.

:) Bid Priceline Standard Rental for $13 (4/12-4/19), obtained through National on first try.

Please note that the 4 1/2* Hotel I obtained through HOTWIRE was NOT the Westin Diplomat but the Diplomat Country Club and Spa, a Starwood Luxury hotel.

I accepted a 4 1/2* in Hollywood Beach Area-Diplomat Country Club Golf and Spa resort (Starwood Luxury Hotel). Ammenities: Resory, Boutique, Fitness Center, Pool, High Speed Internet, Restaurant, Golf and Tennis. The lowest price found was $359 plus taxes for a total of $398 through Starwood! :)

I received the same offer yesterday for 2/27/08 and accepted the offer. It was the Diplomat Country Club and Spa. A wonderful win as the room retails on the cheapest site for $359 plus tax. I am very impressed with my first use of HOTWIRE. :)
