I've also now bid in Norwich for a 2.5 up to 105 with no success.
Edit: So far I have bid using rebid zones up to 190 with no success.
I'm looking for a room for tomorrow night 3/24-3/25 near Mohegan (Norwich Uncasville Zone). I think i'm ok with any 2.5 or 3 star relatively close (unless you advise there's something I should avoid!). I think my preference would be a 3 star (Holiday Inn looks close and most often won in the past).
Rack rates nearby:
Hyatt Place Uncasville 284
Holiday Inn Norwich 249
Comfort Suites Norwich 195
Best Western 195
Rebid Zones:
Old Saybrook
Niantic
New London for a 3 star bid
I can be fairly flexible as far as price, I prefer to bid just up to 100 and was hoping to win around 70 but I know its a Saturday night and the rack rates seem high.
I've used your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to research and will use them to bid.
Thanks! B)
I am looking to book a hotel close to the Metlife Stadium on 5/19. I'm hoping to get a better deal on Priceline than on Hotwire (only 2 options are currently offered and neither one was a significant savings over hotel's own pricing). Since the two 2.5 star hotels on the Hotel List you've put together are both in the area I would like to stay, do you think I could safely bid a 2.5 star or might it upgrade me to a 3 star and put me elsewhere?
What should my bidding strategy be for this night? Hoping to spend around 80, rack rates for these two hotels are $119 and $189.
Thanks!
It may not be relevant to this post but just as an FYI they did put sidewalks in on Paterson Plank Road stretching from Metlife Stadium into East Rutherford. :)
We went with Caribe, hopefully will suit our needs and looks to have a shuttle to the attractions. Thanks!
Hi, as I am pretty unfamiliar with this area I hope I am not being too broad in my search but maybe you can help me narrow it down. Looking for a good deal to stay in a 3.5-4 or resort level property close to Disney or attractions/nightlife from next Monday 2/27 to Thursday 3/1. The following got my interest and I am wondering if i've ID'd correctly. I'm also not opposed to using Priceline to bid if that might yield me a better hotel/results.

Thank you for any help here!
I should have taken my time, but I used a rebid zone that I didnt check properly, I guess. I was trying to get a 4 star in the South Strip and added Summerlin and went up to $80 and was accepted.
Red Rock is supposed to be very nice but I really wanted to be ON the strip.
Thank you. That one does seem like a good deal and today is listed at $45 which is totally doable.
Today I also see a 3* in the Downtown area for $34.
Amenities are: Casino, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant
Rec'd in 85% of reviews.
Plaza Hotel possibly?
Any guesses as to what property this might be on 2/4/12?

I am in the same boat, I am not quite ready to begin my bidding but i've been keeping an eye on both Hotwire and posted wins for those dates.
I have mixed feelings on going a little further away from the strip since we will have a car for this particular trip or splitting our dates so we will get a cheap room at least for Sunday night since it seems much less popular.
Please keep me updated on what you find as it will be a great help to me as well. :)
We were very pleased with the hotel, its location and large suites.
Great complimentary breakfast and waffle bar at this hotel too!
Started my bidding through your PRICELINE link at $55, used a rebid zone and bid $57 with success. My main goal was location and price so i'm pretty happy.
Since we decided to go with a 4* option and those were all ranked similarly in that area in my mind, I used Priceline instead of Hotwire to keep the price down. I clicked the PRICELINE link through your page and bid in the downtown area from 67-81 dollars using free rebid zones.
Won 4* Hotel Solamar for $81.00 a night from Nov 13-16.
Thanks for all your help!!! :)
Thinking about a slightly different direction but almost ready to book. Opinions on what these properties are if you will?

yes, it does work in the pop up.
7.0.5730.13co is the version i have listed.
Thank you! I'm not thrilled with the reviews for those two after reading up but at least cost is low. I may revise my plans and go for the downtown area so I will be back with some more options.
Please help me ID the following as I think we are narrowed down to staying in the Mission Valley area for this trip. I will of course use the HOTWIRE link to bid:

I am still not getting that pop up calendar and assume thats the reason I am not getting results?
I'm not sure what version of IE browser I am using but I dont have issues with any other websites....
It doesnt seem to be working for me - I get only today's wins to come up.
I keep seeing 2 stars pop up for Edison/Woodbridge, NJ area but dont see them on the hotels list.
Any idea what might be available?
I see one for $52 with Laundry and Internet, Recommended in 70 % of Hotwire customer reviews.
Thanks!
It was the same date that someone else won, they were staying an extra night, however.
I am just fine with Boston Common/Theatre Dist and I didnt see that one on HOTWIRE yesterday... I'd still like to know what it might be before I book and I'm having a hard time on trip advisor even finding a zone that fits that description so I can check the hotels that might match.
Do you think it might be Nine Zero or Back Bay Hotel?
I've bid up to $135 in basically $5 increments on a 4 star for the Copley area this weekend using all of the free-rebid zones. No luck at all!
I'm suprised since someone else won today with a $125 bid. Any idea why? Or what I should make my next move?
I played around with the 3 stars as well, bidding 80, 90 and 100 without any success. :)
And yes, I used your PRICELINE link to start my bidding each time! :)
2.5* Niantic - Norwich - Mystic (Groton) Groton Inn And Suites
in Priceline Hotels - Connecticut

Finally I succeed.... Bid $42 in "Groton" and got 2.5 star Groton Hotel and Suites on the first try. Could have started lower since I was fairly certain I saw this on Hotwire for $56 but its still pretty low.
Thanks.
