  1. That shouldn't be a problem at all - and using Priceline you can exclude the Trump now, as it has been moved into North Strip Condo. Looking on Hotwire for those dates I see a 5* North Strip for $87 per night that appears to be the Trump, so you'd want to avoid going that route. However, LastMinuteTravel has a City Room at the Cosmopolitan at $123 a night, including breakfast. For info on IDing hotels on LastMinuteTravel, see the post in the "Run of House" section of this site.

  2. Just got back from a spur-of-the-moment trip to Scottsdale.

As always, used the PRICELINE link from this site.

Ended up with 2 rooms at the Hyatt Regency in Scottsdale @ $75 + taxes for each room.

Started bidding at $55 at $5 increments, adding additional zones.

Fantastic property - no mention of Priceline, beautiful rooms, great heated pool area (84-degrees), superb in every way.

  3. Just returned from this hotel, after a 3-night stay for the sole purpose of visiting Disneyland. I was very impressed with the property - common spaces were very clean, front desk and concierge were helpful, and the room was quite nice. Yes, you will be hit with a $12/night resort fee, but it does include the following:

    1. Shuttle service to Disneyland

    2. Self-parking

    3. Wireless internet access

    4. Hotel-branded bottles of water (put those in your backpack and avoid paying $3/each at Disney)

    5. Pool/fitness center

The shuttle service is VERY reliable - they run every 30 minutes. The shuttle is shared with the Sheraton and the Hyatt, and they will commonly operate several of them at any given time (so, there is always room). The use of the shuttle alone makes up for the resort fee, since a cab ride will run you around $10. The pool was fairly standard, a bit on the small side, but nothing to complain about.

As pointed out by others, sign up for the frequent guest program when you check in - you will receive 2 breakfast buffet coupons ($12.95 value each), 1 beverage coupon, and 1 coffee coupon.

Overall I was very happy with the property and would gladly return again.

  4. Just an FYI - in the area that you are looking, if bidding for a resort property, you will most likely get the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs, which is a nice property (if not a bit of a maze to get through).

That said, however, I note that you are trying to come in during Spring Training, so all bets are off. If you are looking to book a specific property, then by all means, do not do a "Name Your Own Price" on PRICELINE. If, however, you are willing to get a better deal without knowing the exact property until after purchase, then do the "Name Your Own Price".

  5. Seeing a hotel that doesn't seem to match any of the previous descriptions for the following:

    2/5/09-2/7/09

    Las Vegas Central Strip

    1 room

    2 people

    $155

If I increase to 3 ppl then I see what matches the Venetian . . .

closest that I can figure out for this one is the Trump, but missing the non-smoking and kitchenettes

This hotel features the following amenities:

    Fitness Center

    Pool(s)

    Restaurant(s)

    Business Center

    High-speed Internet Access

    Golf Nearby

    Spa Services

Note that Casino is not listed . . .

    Thanks in advance!
