  1. Thanks. At the pricepoint I agree with you and suspect it is likely that Grand Hyatt Cheers!
  2. Looking for possible identification of 4* San Antonio, TX Riverwalk East and Alamo area hotel Amenities Pet friendly Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower Priced at $95/night My suspicion is that this is probably the Grand Hyatt unfortunately I'm not able to find any listing where another has found the "pet friendly" listing on the main list there that you guys have. Thanks in advance for your help!
  3. I gave it a shot a few times trying more for Market Center. I had actually already finished up a $55 a night room @ Market Center but then the damn thing said that someone else bought it. I was pissed... The next best thing was in the Galleria and so I landed this hotel. I called them and for those of you where this matters, they do allow pets. There is a $50 surcharge for the entire stay and they allow up to 2 pets. Parking there is $22 for Valet and $13 for self-park. I'm familiar with the area and this is a fairly old hotel. It's been there since I was a child. It used to be an Omni hotel but I've never been inside. This will be my first time staying there. I usually stay at Le Meridien in the Galleria across the highway and frankly expected that one to turn up. So at the end of the day with fees it came to $150.43 plus my $50 pet fee and 2x $13 for self parking = 226.43. I frankly think it's still not a GREAT deal but whatever... PS: I used your better bidding HOTWIRE link as I always do. Thanks.
  4. Excellent news! Priceline came through and not only gave me the $11 difference plus taxes but also gave me a $25 credit so now my rate is down even more! It was likely an overseas answering service but they did a pretty good job and were efficient and it took very little of my time. Overall a good interaction with PRICELINE.
  5. I used your PRICELINE link from betterbidding.com as I am a frequent user and found the deal above. I tried multiple times at prices from $90, $100, $110, $125, $145, then finally @ $160. I looked only for 4 star hotels and then added in locations of Downtown and Arboretum early on then adding slowly the others so that I could extend my number of bids. It must be a really busy weekend in Austin because this was a really high price for us. This hotel usually goes for $149 so I got jipped and I feel like a putz. It looks as if I overpaid and I will be calling them now to discuss it with them. :)

  7. Thanks for being gutsy with the $44. I've stayed ehre in the past for $50 but this time nailed it with your deal. We really enjoy staying there when we go to Dallas especially because they're pet friendly and have no extra pet fee.

  10. Not too bad I guess. This is for graduation weekend and it was tough to find anything else in town. I tried PRICELINE at $39 and $45 with no luck at 3* level. Perhaps I should have tried again and broadened it to 2.5*. Nevertheless I settled on the HOTWIRE price. I think it's decent.
