  1. So, it looks like Priceline rezoned the princeton area, and now has princeton east, and trenton-princeton west. It used to be that the Hyatt and Hyatt Place would come up for Princeton, but knowing where they, if the Priceline map is accurate, then it looks like they both might now be considered Princeton West? The Wyndham would probably still be East. Any thoughts?
  2. Thx! Also, what does Priceline do if the hotels in that * level and above are sold out? Will they not accept the bid?
  3. hey, I have a question. I'm not ready to bid for any of the Cape Canaveral hotels yet, but it looks like the country inn and suites is sold out online. what happens if I bid for a 2.5* in cape c? will it just not accept any bids, or would it try to find another hotel? I'm pretty sure the 3* are sold out too. I may not know whether I'm going on sunday until sunday morning, as I have to call the airline sunday morning to see if there's room (in order to only pay a small change fee), so I'm not sure what to do. thx!
  4. Thanks for the tip...yeah, I was thinking the Hilton in Cocoa Beach, but I think I'll just try for something in Cape C, either 2.5* or 3*...unfortunately, I can't use the bonus offer b/c you have to stay a min of 2 nights, and it's only $5 off each night up to 5....really deceptive, but oh well. I'll use your PRICELINE link, and let you know what happens. (btw, the Vero Beach Resort that I got for $105 a few weeks ago, I could prob get now for like $75 - the rack rate's gone down. Had I waited, could've saved some, but I guess it's hit or miss w/time :)
  5. Hey, so I'm looking at hotels in the cape canaveral area on Priceline for 5/11 (I have a hotel in Vero Beach that night, but I may need to be closer, as I'm going to KSC to see the launch and have to be there early). I know that the 3* in Cocoa Beach would probably be the Hilton, but Priceline now seems to be offering a 3* in Cape Canaveral proper...it's not on the list - any idea what it could be? I have a $25 gift cert for Priceline, so I'd like to use this today...thx! p.s. any thoughts on the Hilton vs. Country Inn and Suites?
  6. Yellowdog, i took a look at HOTWIRE, and it looks like there's a 4* resort up for $132..but I'm pretty sure the amenities match both the Westin and the Crown Plaza...so looks like I should stay away from that as well. I may try for the Marriott resort in the Beach area, but not sure how cheap I can get it for. Was also looking at the Westin/Hyatt in Coral Gables, but they're not on the beach.
  7. I'd like to get a resort in the Ft. Lauderdale area for as low as possible. I know the Marriott seems to come up in the Beach area, and in the past, the Westin has come up in the Hollywood area (the last win was 3/31). However, when I check the Hollywood area, the resort button is not available. The only resort area now seems to be Beach area. Do you think the Westin has been taken down? I'm looking at 5/13-5/15, but I checked random dates as well, and still no resort in the Hollywood area. EDIT: In looking at the regular Priceline search, it looks like the Westin is a 4* and not a Resort. So I wonder if they downgraded it. (That would be unfortunate as the other 4* is the Crowne Plaza which I don't particularly want to stay at). Thx!
  8. So, as an update, I ended up bidding on 4* in Vero Beach for 5/11-5/13, and I got the Vero Beach Resort and Spa for only $105! The cheapest price I've seen is $188. Now I'm trying to figure out where to stay for the next 2 nights...prob closer to Miami (I may try for the Westin Diplomat). I used the PRICELINE links... Thx!
  9. I'm trying to decide which nights I want to go, but I think 5/11-5/15 will be better for me.
  10. Sorry for the second post, but I found a 3* in Palm Beach proper for 5/11-5/15 for $87-89. Amenities: near beach smoke free rooms fitness center restaurants laundry high speed internet golf nearby tennis nearby I also think I can get a 3* on priceline for around $52, and I'm wondering if it might be the same hotel. Thanks, as always, for the help!!!
  11. Thanks SO much...I'm also trying to ID a 3* and 2.5* at PBI on Hotwire....I'm hoping one of them is the Hilton Garden Inn. Dates: 5/11/09-5/15/09 3*: $73 Amenities from full view: Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access 2.5*: $76 Amenities from full view: Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High Speed Internet Thanks again!
  12. It adds tennis and spa services...it's now up to 47.
  13. Hotwire has a 4* in Palm Beach Gardens for $42/night from 5/8-5/11...any idea what it is? Maybe the PGA National Resort? Amenities: Resort Shuttle Fitness Swimming Restaurant Biz Internet Golf (Tennis) (Spa) Thanks so much, and will use the links when I book!
  14. Got the Hyatt place for $38 for 12/26/08-12/27/08....used the forum to figure out what would be 2.5*, and used the PRICELINE link :) Thx!
  15. excellent, and thx! :) I may go with the Marriott, in which case I have to pay full price. But if I go with any of those, I'll definitely use the link. thanks again!
  16. Hey, this forum is great! I'm looking for a hotel in Princeton, 3* or above, with a pool. Here's what Hotwire is listing, for 12/29/08-12/20/08: 4* @$65: fitness, pool, rest, business, internet, tennis 3.5* @ $69: non smoking, fitness, pool, rest, business, internet, golf, tennis 3* @ $ $58: non smoking, continental breakfast, fitness, pool, internet From what I can tell on the forum the 4* is probably the Hyatt, the 3.5* is probably the Wyndham, and the 3* is probably the Hyatt Place... Am I accurate? Thanks!
