So quick update. I arrived at the Super 8 in Melbourne and it was pretty bad. A very old property and not well maintained. I deceided to book another hotel via Hotwire and I knew in advance it was the Holiday Inn Viera. I sent an email via Hotwire express and really expected nothing, but to my shock they refunded the Super 8 charges in Hotwire dollars and gave me a bonus $25 on top of that. Very pleased with this level of customer service. Just wanted to share. Thanks!

Well, I booked the hotel and it was the Super 8 in Melbourne. Not "super" excited but oh well. The savings came to only $3.98 over the Super 8 website. Very dissapointed, but it is the first dissapointment I have had ever with Hotwire or Priceline.

Follow Up: Went to the Ess A Bagel and if you use Foursquare on your phone and check in, you get one free bagel with cream cheese. Excellent breakfast spot!

I just won on Priceline a 4 star hotel in Midtown East for $165 a night for 12-26 to 12-30. It ended up being the Grand Hyatt which is an awesome hotel. I originally was trying to bid on the Millenium Hilton as well because I also saw that same post on Hotwire. Just wanted to let you know.

Well thank you to everyone! I decided to go the PRICELINE route and I did use the link from this sight to start my bidding. I made my first bid for a 4 star in Soho for $160 and it was rejected and then I added Mid Town East and raised it to $165 and I won the Grand Hyatt New York. I am completely exstatic about the hotel! It currently is going for $394 on Hotels.com! Thank you to everyone for their advice. I will also put this on the winning bids calendar. Thanks again!
