  1. Check my thread in PL forum, won the Waldorf Astoria for 7/28-7/31 at $125nite
  2. Yeah, I figured I could, but didn't want to mis-read the MTA map with an 11yo in tow.
  3. Can I transfer from a far rockaway A to a 4,5, or 6 at Nassau/b'way?? Going from JFK to Waldorf Astoria.
  4. So after waiting 72 hours, I tried this strategy: Bid $120 for MTW....Rejected Bid $125 for MTW and MTE...Got the Waldorf Astoria! Deals are there, hope this helps thenewbie. Time to go check the reviews!
  5. I'm definitely willing to add UM/CPS to the bid and to also split once. I was considering going the cheap route and just staying at hotel 31, but with rates in the $85-105 range, it didn't make much sense to not try priceline in the $120 range. Pretty much just looking for the best hotel at $400 OTD for the entire 3 night stay.
  6. I wouldn't mind getting in on the $120 Waldorf Astoria deals or maybe similar hotel with sub $120 price. Currently in my 72hr holding pattern after trying this strategy, Select 4* MTE... Bid $105, if rejected close browser. Select 4* MTW... Bid $105, if rejected add MTE.... Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $120. Any tips?
  7. The cards are a yellow color with blue writing. The reason they are this gold color is because that's what they are worth, GOLD!!!! My Girl and I criss-crossed this city and was in and out of the subway so much we would have gone broke paying individual fares. The subway is really the only way to get where you're going FAST. Incredible!
  8. I was rejected multiple times trying to find a 4* 9/13-9/20 for up to $160. Tried the bidding technique on the other thread and when I added 3* I got the small but trendy Paramount for $130. Rooms are tiny but location is supposed to be EXCELLENT (w46th-7th)
  9. Just won $130 3* Paramount for 9/13-20 2004 Bid MTW $120- Rejected added MTE $125 - Rejected Added UM-CPS $130 Won Paramount(mtw) I found with this much advance notice and the dates it was impossible to get 4* for $160 or less. Hoping Paramount is an OK hotel. Off to check the trip advisor review!
