  1. Thanks very much for the information and suggestions. Assuming your best guess is correct, it's a nice hotel on a good beach and every room has some sort of ocean view. I would say it's a stretch to call a 350 room hotel "boutique" but maybe in Hawaii it qualifies :) There's a substantial resort fee and few meal options. We're now leaning towards a condo style place with a kitchen to help with overall trip costs but I will update and/or close this thread down the road. Thanks again.
  2. The boutique word is really throwing me off! Resort, boutique, beachfront, pool(s), smoke-free, fitness, restaurants, business center, fitness. Amazing 95% recommend. 4.5 Tripadvisor 2001+ reviews. Any help would be appreciated. Is this too early to look for Nov/Dec hotels? Our plans are firm but wondering if prices drop closer to check-in?
  3. Very pleased with this win using your Hotwire Quick Quote. The hotel gets excellent Tripadvisor reviews and my price was about $80 cheaper than Hotels.com. Thanks again for providing your service...matching your amenity set gave me the confidence to book this one. There is an unknown hotel with a similar price and amenities but I really trust the Indigo chain, and this one will be an easy tube ride back to Heathrow for my return home on the next day. Hotel Indigo Amenities: free internet, boutique, internet access, fitness centre. NB I just noticed I put final price with taxes in my headline...my Hotwire price was $163 US.
  4. I went in a slightly different direction and used your HOTWIRE link to book what I expected to be (and was correct in my thinking). Hotel: the Town Hall 5* $175 US Amenities: Free internet Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Pools Restaurants Internet access The location is a little far out for the first time traveller but the hotel is great with good access to central London. Stayed there in 2012 using the British equivalent of Hotwire to book. Thanks for your help! The rooms are large and spacious...fairly rare in London.
  5. Still looking for Oct 26-29. Any thoughts about these two Bloomsbury St. Pancreas hotels? 1) $ 182 US 4 1/2 stars, free internet, fitness, smoke free, restaurant, business, internet access, spa accessible path, in-roomaccess, wheelchair accessible, accessible bathroom, roll-in shower 2) $174 US 3 star free breakfast, free internet, boutique, internet access. Also a question. Where do you list your south bank Waterloo hotels? That's a whole area that doesn't seem to have a category on BB.
  6. Thanks. Your suggestion makes sense though I'm not too thrilled by the hotel. How about these two in Kensington for the same dates: (Oct 26-29) 1) $145 - 4.5* Smoke free, fitness, restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet Access 2) $191 - 4.5* Boutique, free internet, fitness center, internet access. This seems to match the Indigo Kensington on your list. Comments? Thanks!
  7. Used your Hot.wire link for my stay in London from Oct 26-29. I'm curious if you can help with a Bloomsbury/St. Pancras hotel for $175 US with this full amenity set: Free internet, boutique, smoke free, business center, internet, restaurants(s), wheelchair accessible. Thanks! ps also claims 100% recommend!
  8. Thanks for your help. Just to close the thread, we ended up getting a deal at la Quinta (downtown) for a suite with a king bed for about the same price as the Hotwire deals. So we went for it. Nice hotel and recommended.
  9. Thanks for your help. Just to close the thread, we ended up getting a deal at la Quinta (downtown) for a suite with a king bed for about the same price as the Hotwire deals. So we went for it. Nice hotel and recommended.
  10. Not willing to change hotels so we will be booking for two nights, September 17 and 18. I'm guessing from other threads that the two night hotel quote that I mentioned above is the Red Lion on 5th...is that your best guess as well?
  11. The property is nolonger available for September 17-18. That seems in line with the Grand Hyatt's own website since the non-refundable advance booking rates have also disappeared. I am now seeing for a two-night stay September 17-19 a 3 1/2* with 90% approval at $119 per night. Free Internet Pet Friendly Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center High-Speed Internet Access Alternatively for September 17-18 one night only I see a 3 1/2 with a 65% approval for $116 with Boutique hotel Pet Friendly Restaurant(s) Business Center Fitness Center High-Speed Internet Access Any ideas on either of these two? Thanks.
  12. Also, staying in Seattle for two nights from September 23-25. Best bet for us seems to be a 3 1/2* with a 95% approval rating for $124. Full amenity set is Free internet, smoke free, restaurant, highspeed, and fitness. Curious about the 95% approval since Seattle's 3 1/2* seem to be well down the list on Tripadvisor. Also available is a 4* with an 80% approval rating for $159. Complete amenity set is Pet friendly, smoke free, fitness, restaurant(s), highspeed, accessible blind, accessible deaf, accessible path of travel, accessible bathroom, in-room accessibility, roll-in shower, handicapped parking. Any ideas on either of these?
  13. Hi We'll be staying in Seattle briefly on two occasions in September so I'll do two topics to avoid any confusion. First is a one night stay September 17-18. Using your HOTWIRE link, I'm drawn to the 4* at $153 US. Full amenity list is Pet friendly, business, restaurants, highspeed, fitness, spa, in-room accessibility, accessible blind, accessible deaf, accessible bathroom, roll-in shower, accessible path of travel, handicapped parking. With the 13 amenities it seems to match the Grand Hyatt but would appreciate your input. Thanks.
  14. For now we have a reservation at La Concha that we can and will cancel if a really appealing HOTWIRE or PRICELINE deal shows up closer to our departure date. Thanks very much for your help.
  15. It's worded as Accessible path of travel. Also it has a 90% Hotwire approval rating. Someone on Cruise Critic just got the Intercontinental for the same price on Hotwire ($135) but different dates.
  16. Thanks for your help. One other idea for the same dates: a 4* resort property is showing in Isla Verde which some people prefer to Condado. Rate is $135. Amenities are: Resort, Beachfront, Pool(s), Casino, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry, High Speed, Tennis Nearby, Spa, Accessible Blind, Accessible Deaf, Accessible path, In-room Accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in Shower. I think it has to be either the Intercontinental or ESJ Hotel and Casino. No reference to golf which is an amenity for ESJ but the scratched out price of $179 matches ESJ's price in Hotwire's revealed standard rate hotel list rather than the InterContinental's $245. Any thoughts on that one?
  17. Thanks for pointing out this option. One other thing I find interesting: Hotwire's cost summary points out that the 2 adults 0 children option also charges the resort fee which is so common in in PR. Your 2/2 option makes no reference to it. Do you think that is an oversight by Hotwire or that the property won't charge the resort fee?
  18. Price is $126 USD, scratched out price is $219. No change in amenities.
  19. I am looking for a nice hotel for one night post-cruise in December. Your HOTWIRE link turned up a promising Condado property for $133 (Cdn). The only amenities listed are Accessible deaf, Accessible bathroom and Handicapped parking. Not much to go on but it does have a Hotwire 95% approval rating so that might help. Also the scratched out price is $212 which is an exact match for Hotwire's regular price for the Ciqala though the Conrad and la Concha are $210 each so not much difference. Any advice would be appreciated.
  20. I was searching for Paris hotels on different dates in 2013 using your HOTWIRE link and I noticed the Hotwire map of their various hotel areas nolonger seems to include a large part of the Left Bank. This previously included a number of hotels reported and identified on BB in areas like Montparnasse, Jardins du Luxembourg etc. Anyone have an explanation for this?
  21. Thought I would close the loop by reporting back. The hotel was in a great location in Terminal 2 really just a short walk to/from the RER to central Paris. We had an early morning flight and staying in the Sheraton really made life easier. There's a great take-out deli just a few feet away from the hotel so you can avoid the high costs of the hotel food. Thanks again to BB for your help in identifying this one!
  22. Plans on hold for now so you can close this one. Thanks.
  23. Done - Thanks for reminding me about the searches!
