  1. Alot of bidding. Started at $44 for a 3.5 for April 14th and increased $1 per day by adding 9 different zones, when all those bids failed up to $52 I started all over with a 3* at $40 and continued to add $1 by adding 5 different zones until accepted at $44. Notice last time I tried this same stragety for Apr 2-3, I ended up with 3* Holiday Inn. The Hyatt is the hotel I was hoping to get, so very happy with the results. Used your PRICELINE link on front page.
  2. Started with $52 for 2 1/2 star for Friday Apr 9th and was successful. Saved $8 by not accepting their offer to extend my earlier bid. Used your Price Line link on front page.
  3. Started bidding for a 3* about 3 weeks ago in Bossier/Shreveport. Started at $44 and added $2 per night with adding other areas up to $58. Nothing until I added 2 1/2 * and went back to $44 then up to $52 with changing zones and finally arrival dates and got this Holiday Inn Shreveport Airport Financial Plaza from April 10 - 13. I was offered an additional nights (so I tried for the 9th) but they wanted $60 so I refused (see how they like it, he he). Checked the reviews on TA and they are mixed, mostly good for the room but poor for the service. I used your link on the front page, thank you!
  4. April 2-4 2010 Holiday Inn Houston Intercontinental Airport, tried $40 for 3.5* then added 2 other zones without 3.5*'s and went to $44 still not accepted so dropped to 3* and got this Holiday Inn. Having just read TA's reviews this seems to be a reasonably good deal. Used your PRICELINE link on front page.
  5. Bid $44 got Hyatt Place Houston Greenspoint 300 Ronan Park Place for Apr 1-2. I stayed at this hotel about 2 years ago, and since then they have added free wi-fi and a continental breakfast, as well they offer a free shuttle and free 5 mile drive to anywhere. This is a very good price for this hotel. I started bidding for a 3.5* at $44 and continued to add a $1 a day up to $49 and when I wasn't succesful I included 3* and dropped back to $44 and immediately got this 3.5*.
  6. I just read the following and I'm interested in the same thing. I have just reported 3 wins in the last week and would like any input on calling the hotels for my preferences. I did try to email one of the hotels but it bounced. Thanks :) After a successful Priceline hotel bid, for a 2-night non-resort stay made two months in advance, we wonder about timing for pitching a couple of special requests. Is it more advantageous to call the property immediately for king, non-smoking, etc., or wait until much closer to the actual arrival date? Our last (in fact, only other) Priceline experience involved a 3-week advance booking and a successful request call made just after the bid acceptance. Any rule of thumb advice? Thanks,
  7. OK so I needed a room for the night before heading home at SFO. So back to PRICELINE (via your link) same bid of $45 for a 3 1/2 star again they rejected but asked if I would add $13 they would try again, which I agreed to hoping to get the SFO Marriott again. Success got this 3 1/2 - 4 star for $58 plus taxes and fees. Topic Title: 3 1/2Star , SFO, Marriott Description: April 9-10 $58.00 per night Post: bid history as above, Total Room Cost: $74.27 (USD) Booked Feb 2 09 :) :)
  8. Hello, I just got a room, I bid $45.00 for a 3 1/2 star at SFO on Priceline, they came back and said if I want to up the bid by $13 I could try again without waiting so I agreed and got the room for $58.00. Topic Title: 3 1/2Star , SFO, Marriott Description: April 1 -2 $58.00 per night Post: bid history as above, Total Room Cost: $74.27 (USD) Booked Feb 2 09 I copied your format then filled in the details! Last week I bid $60 for a 3 1/2 star in Petaluma they came back offering me a room for $73.00 which I declined and went back in and offered $62 then $65 which was accepted. I did report the win in a previous post. Also the taxes and fees on the Petaluma room are $10.00 per night (7 nights) while the taxes and fees at SFO are $16.27.. Just wondering if everybody is getting these "one time offers"? Both times the difference was $13.00
  9. Hi, Having a little trouble navigating this site as I did last time here. Just wanted to report that I got a hotel in Petaluma, Ca the Sheraton Sonoma County Petaluma for one week in April this year on PRICELINE for $65 per night. I hope I'm as happy after my stay as I am with the price I got it for. I did follow your PRICELINE link. Thanks for a great website :) 4 Star Rating Petaluma Sheraton Sonoma County Petaluma $65 ... 04/02/09 - 04/09/09 I read a little lower on this page hopefully this will get where it belongs.
  10. I got a compact car from Hertz for April 2 - April 10th. My flight arrives at 4:30 on the 1st and I quite often don't get a car the first day as I stay in an airport hotel with a shuttle. So while I was changing car types and dates I forgot to change the pick-up time to 10:00 am on the 2nd as it would be the same price. Here are the details of my rental: Your Offer Price: $14.00 (per day) Total Rental Days: 8 days(7 days and 17 1/2 hours) Subtotal: $112.00 Taxes and Fees: $53.08 Total Charges: $165.08 Lowest Published Price: $462.99 (USD) Total Savings:* $297.91 (USD) (You saved 64%) I called Priceline to see if anything could be done and they referred me to Hertz. Has anybody had any success in changing anything once it's booked?
  11. I just booked a car on PRICELINE and after trying $8, 9, 10 etc up to $14 I finally got it. I kept changing dates as I was able to without affecting my vacation. When I got the approval I had forgotten to change the time for pick-up and now have a pick up time at 4:30 and a drop off time at 10:00 am. I called PRICELINE to see what could be done and they referred me to Hertz so I called their office at SFO and a rude employee told me I booked through PRICELINE and I was their customer and to call them, then she abruptly hung up! I can live with my mistake but I wish I had double checked my offer. :)
