  1. Started at $43 -> $45 -> $50 -> $55. Was expecting to get the Hilton but the Hyatt is a nice bonus. Cheers.
  2. Started at $50 and made my way up to $110 where I got the win. Very pleased. Thanks as always BB.
  3. Two days ago tried 4* strip vicinity south from $40 up to $90 but no luck. Today started at $100 and got the Monte Carlo on the first bid. Wish I would've started lower than $100 today but am pleased overall with the results. Thanks as always to the BB community!
  4. Started at $40 and made my way up over a couple of days. Overall very pleased. Thanks Better Bidding!

  7. Areas: Strip north and south First price of $120/night was rejected and was informed that if I add $22 (to $142) I could re-bid for free. 8. Update: Bid $80/night for 4* strip north and was given a special offer for a 4* hotel in strip north for $144/night. I refused this offer and proceeded to bid $90 and then $100 both of which were rejected. Will wait the requisit time and then probably start my bidding at $105 or so for this same area. I know that priceline guarantees only double occupancy, anybody have any experience on getting four people into a room after it is booked with Priceline? PRICELINE HOTWIRE
  9. Hey Londo, Good to know. I'm trying for some similar dates as well. A search the other day on HOTWIRE for Jan 8-11 turned up what appears to be Treasure Island for $149/night (4 person occupancy). I thought that was decent. It looks like there have been two successful bids for 1/6 at the Venetian ($95 and $80) and also two more successful bids for 1/9 at TheHotel ($165, $163). Perhaps, though, that is more than you are willing to spend? There are also some deals to be had if you are willing to stay downtown. PRICELINE HOTWIRE
  10. Tried bids of $40 and $45 for strip north and then strip south (added Nellis and Summerlin respectively, e.g. strip north $40, strip north, nellis $45, etc) and both were rejected for 1/7-1/8/09. Was given a "special offer" of a 4* for ~$88 for strip north and I rejected it. I know I'm bidding low - just an informational post.
  11. Yeah, very nice! I would like to stay there sometime. $80/night is a great deal.
  12. Wes - I did see that you got TheHotel for similar dates. Currently we're trying to figure out whether we'd rather have TI in the center strip or TheHotel (obviously we don't know if we'd get either, but for the sake of this discussion..). We're also wondering if prices may come down a bit if we wait a little longer. That's what happened last year when I was there for CES. Any thoughts?
  13. Aaron, I think we're ruling out anything off the strip - thanks for the help though. A quick search for our dates on hotwire shows a 4 star hotel in Central Strip with the following amenities: Casino, Fitness Center, Pool, Dining, Business Center, Golf (18 hole) and spa. Any ideas what this might be? It's listed at $159/night - not bad. Thanks. Great, thanks. I'll do that.
  14. I appreciate the comments...I'm just posting the rejected bids on here so others get a sense of what is working and what isn't. I'm planning to up my bid a bit on the next go around. If you'd prefer that I don't post unsuccessful bids, I'd be happy to oblige.
  15. Bids of $70, $75, $80, $85, and $90 all rejected. Added Summerlin, Nellis, Convention Center, and Freemont Street vicinity to get additional bids. FYI.
  16. I was more or less just trying to see if I could fetch a rediculous rate for a nice place on the strip. I'm going to Vegas for the CES but will be spending the first night (1/7) by myself until my friends come in Thurs-Sun for the rest of the convention. I figured I would low ball a nice place on the strip since I am willing to stay downtown and retail rates are between 30 and 50 a night. I'm thinking about bidding for TheHotel 1/8-1/11 when the others arrive. I see that others have been getting in there for ~$165 for some of the same nights. Thanks for this site - it is great. I have been spreading the word. Of course I will be using your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links. Zack On Wisconsin!
  17. Bids of $30, $40, $45, and $50 were all rejected for Las Vegas South Strip Vicinity 4* for 1/7-1/8/2009 FYI
