  1. UPDATE-I have booked directly at Hyatt Place Waikiki using a CAA rate of 229/night. This choice was based on the fact that the mandatory resort fees along with costly parking were adding at least an extra $50 a night to all the hotels I was looking at. The Hyatt place has no resort fee and includes a breakfast. I will be paying for parking at the nearby Waikiki Banyan condo at a rate of $20/night. Thanks for always helping me out Better Bidding!

  2. Thanks for your help on this, I have some time so I am not sure what we will do for this trip but I will report back. At this point I do no think I will be booking this particular Hotwire rate, Waikiki is so tricky because of all the mandatory resort fees, parking charges and taxes that can add so much more to your final hotel stay. Due to this, I may book directly thru a hotel but again, not sure. Thanks...

  3. Looking at 4*Waikiki-Kuhio Beach-Aug 12-14-$250 through HOTWIRE and I am thinking this could be either the Outrigger Waikiki Beach or maybe the Outrigger Reef, not sure which zone the later falls into. I am hoping you might be able to shed some light-thanks in advance,

Here are the amenities copied from BiddingHelper.com (amazing tool-thanks for the link)

  4. Well, I always check the website (just in case) and the Hilton Hawaiian Village has construction happening in 2 towers so they have a construction special rate of 167 on the website (plus 30 resort fee and tax) so I will probably pass of this because as much as I like a bargain I also really like to sleep! Thank you once again for the speedy identification!

  5. WOW- Love this new feature "Bidding.Helper"! It helped me find a 4 star Waikiki Beach hotel from August 20-22 at 189/night with the following amenities

    Thanks in advance

approx 15 mins after I posted this I went through the continue button and it now shows as $210/night

  6. Not yet-still trying to decide what to do but I will post when I figure it all out and let everyone know what this is IF I book it

Did NOT end up booking this hotel. I had some other things I needed to set into place so when I went back a few days later to check again, it was gone. Wish I could report what it was!I am still looking and may not even go as the hotels are filling up fast and limiting my choices.

The price before taxes and fees was offered at 70/night which I jumped on because I had been watching it for a while and it had been at 69/night then suddenly went to 73 last week and then 76. I was a little frusterated but then I got the email from HOTWIRE this am regarding a "sale" so I checked and there it was at 70/night-As I previously posted I have stayed at this resort before and it is in the perfect location for me this time as we are going down for a local wedding close to this place. Plus they have a brand new pirate ship themed pool for the little ones so that is a bonus-thanks again for such a wonderful resource!

  10. Hi there, need a hotel for my return from Orlando to Buffalo near Buffalo airport so I looked at Hotwire for Dec 17th (1 night) and came up and came up with a 2.5 star hotel for 59/night with the following ammenties : suite, airport shuttle, complimentary breakfast, fitness center, pool(s), laundry, high speed. I don't see it on the list and I am wondering if perhaps it is Comfort Suites but has been regraded to 2.5 star? It has a 3.5 out of 5 on Trip Advisor. Any input on this is appreciated...

  11. On sunday a 3.5 star in LBV-DTD came up @ 56/night and I felt strongly based on the ammenities and other posted priceline wins for similar dates that it could be Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista. It went up to 59/night the next day and I almost booked but other things were happening in my life and I didn't get around to it. This morning I checked and there it was again for 56/night so I took the plunge and sure enough it was the Embassy Suites LBV!!! Pretty darn happy about this as we will be spending 90% of our time in the parks and really just need a place to sleep but I am paying what I would expect to pay at a place of lesser quality and getting a free breakfast! My total with fees/tax for 9 nights was 569.11-many thanks to Thereuare and Yellowdog for all the info and insight provided to me for this stay and, yes, I did book thru the link! We are off to the "World", aloha.......

  12. This hotel features the following amenities:

    Suite

    1-Bedroom Suite

    Fully-equipped Kitchen

    Complimentary Breakfast

    Free Parking

    Daily Housekeeping

    Fitness Center

    Pool(s)

    24-hour Front Desk

    High-speed Internet Access

    Kitchenette

    Condo

Here are the listed ammentites copied directly from Hotwire, as you can see it lists fully equipped kitchen AND kitchenette, weird but I guess they have to cover all bases so it is a kitchenette that is fully equipped...thanks for making sure

  13. That is the list of ammenities from the continue area, I actually always check that just to be sure nothing is going to surprise me so those are all the ammenties listed Yellowdog, what do you think?

Edit-I just went back in to check and make sure I did not copy it down incorrectly-the list is as in my previous post of today except it says fully equipped kitchen and it lists kitchenette as well. thanks in advance to all those helping out.

  14. Hi again-today the following came up on Hotwire on my dates (Dec 8th to 17th) for 64/night.LBV-DTD area 3 star condo with the following ammenities: suite, 1 bedroom, kitchenette, comp. breakfast, free parking, daily housekeeping, fitness center, pool, 24 hour front desk, high speed. The trip advisor rating was 4/5. I think this is a match for Hawthorn Suites Lake Buena Vista but the Trip Advisor rating on the actual Trip Advisor site is 4.5/5. Does that tend to fluxuate? What is your best guess for this, thanks in advance...

  15. If anyone has any idea as to what this condo could be can you please post it -I found it as well during my December travel dates and it has not been reported to the boards. If you click on the ammenties list you will see that it also has a business center, 24 hour front desk, high speed and is rated 4/5 on TA. I looked at the HOTWIRE vacations section to see if perhaps there was a match w/free breakfast but no such luck. I even called the Orlando Visitor's Bureau to see if they knew of a condo in the area that had compl/breakfast and they said they were not aware of any!
