  1. Started bid for $40 - 3* using the PRICELINE link from this website. I was offered to increase my bid by $28, I declined and increased to $45 and added High Point. I've stayed here before but I was really thinking I would get this property I was testing out some of the Airport properties. Oh well, I remember to use a different zone for rebid but still not a bad price.
  2. I placed my bid using the BiddingHelper.com. I initially bid on the Downtown area for $60 and was offered to increase to $101, after using the helper to see that a 3* was available in the University area for $75, I restarted the bidding with University at $60 and won immediately.
  3. I tried unsuccessfully bidding up to $63 for a the following Charlotte areas 3, and 3.5 star: Airport, Executive South, Univerversity and South Park. The advertised ammenities were: Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center
  4. Initially tried for 3.5* in the Airport area up to $55. $50 accepted on first try with 3* bid. Great deal esepecially since there is a PGA tour event in town. I began my bid with the Price.line quick quote option.
  5. Won on first bid, great property at an even greater price. I always begin a search with the priceline quick quote links from this site.
  6. I bid on 3.5 star only starting at $40, using rebid strategy to make sure I had the Park Central area only. I was hoping to get the Wyndham 3.5 in this area but I was upgraded to this 4*. I started my bids with the PRICELINE link from this site.
  7. I started my search with the Price.line Quick Quote option. I found that the rate dropped a couple dollars when I searched for more nights. The listed amenities: Indoor or Outdoor Pool Pets allowed Restaurant Free Internet Free Breakfast Business Center Bed Choice available This forum has been very valuable with this stay. I have been looking for rooms for family for this weekend. With the tools and posts I have been able to correctly identify hotels HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS deals to keep my family staying between the same two properties in close vicinity. Thanks!

  11. Originally bid solely on 3.5 for Executive, University, and Uptown up to $68 unsuccessfully. Restarted with Airport $50 to $55 for the win. Nice property I've been here before, and a decent price since the Carolina Panthers are having a home playoff game Saturday.
  12. Started at $45 using the rebid strategy. I wanted the Embassy Suites but I can't complain, this hotel is retail for $84 on it's website. I used the Price.line Quick Quote to start my bid.
  13. I checked the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins first and only saw one win close to this time frame. The Carolina Panthers play at home on Sunday so I knew the chances of getting an Uptown hotel were slim to none. I started my bidding at 3.5* using all my rebid strategies for the major Charlotte areas (Executive, Airport, University, Southpark and Uptown) was not able to get anything from $50-$65 for two nights. I started over with one night 3.5 stars and no luck up to $65, so I restarted with 3* at 50 and finally won at $65 with Executive Park with the upgrade to 3.5*. I'm tried doing the same process for my second night, hoping to either get cheaper or a different area but no luck so I was able to extend my stay for an additional night. I've stayed at this Hilton before. I like it but there is nothing really in this area but for this weekend and prices I can't complain. Bid $65 total $84.98 booking direct with hotel starts at $109. I start this bid with the Price.line Quick Quote option.
  14. I started my bid using the Priceline link from betterbidding.com. I started bidding at $45, 3.5* and was offered to increase by $16, I declined and used the rebid stragey and bit up to $55 and was unsuccessful. Tried a new bid for for the 3* in the airport area and won on the first try with $45 bid.
  15. I started bidding at $40, using the rebid strategy. A really nice deal I believe. I initiated my bid with the betterbidding.com Price.line Quick Quote.
  16. I started my bid with the Priceline link from this site. I tried several areas with lower priced bids: Inner Harbor Downtown, Camden, and BWI. Nothing with 3* and below $65. I used several rebidding strategies to final get to $75.
  17. I know this is a couple weeks old but this a new hotel in the Airport area.
  18. Tried to start bidding around $40 using the rebidding tips, was offered to increase to $52, I declined and bid 48, after trying 45. I also won 3 rooms 11/27 to 11/28 for $50/night. Hotel direct rate is $107/night.
  19. I started my bidding using the PRICELINE search option on this website. Based on previous posts I started my bidding at $35, Downtown area only. It was rejected and counteroffered to increase by $15. I added Yulee which does not have a 3* and increased my bid to $38. It was accepted for a total of two rooms for two nights $180.72
  20. Hilton Center City, my absolute favorite hotel in downtown charlotte, the price was a little more than I normally have got off priceline but still cheaper than the $109 a night off Hilton's website. I started my bidding with PRICELINE link on betterbidding.com I bid for two rooms 3.5*, started at $40, increased by $5 increments and adding areas that didnt have 3.5* hotels. 21. Not a lot in this area, highest star rating was 2.5. Started with the calendar lookup from this site, with a $39 bid, was asked to increase by $11, I added the other area and bid $43 and was accepted. Total was $54.68, saved a lil bit since Best western website is starting at $80.99 thanks
  22. I don't think safety should be much of a problem because you are still in the business district. I am a female and walked from Poydras to Harrahs and Bourbon by myself at night several times. I have also taken a cab from my hotel to Canal for like $5, after a few drinks thats a long walk!
  23. I started with PRICELINE search on this site. I want to attend the tennis tournament there so I wasn't sure how prices would go. Started with $45 in the Blue Ash, and University-Norwood 3.5*, rejected added $5 and downtown and was accepted. The Hyatt is showing prices at $159/night on their website.
