  1. A seasoned traveller would ranked Amari Watergate as a 3.5 stars imho...
  2. Very nice! U're just behind Grand Hyatt. There's a popular four face buddha at the road junction outside your hotel. Within walking distance from the newly (or going to) open Central world (which was destroyed and closed early this year to the the 'war'). Siam Paragon, MBK, are within 15mins stroll walk. Enjoy. :)
  3. .Sg totally sucks, extremely bad experiences in e past. Not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 bad experiences. Sometimes they make u wait 1 day or even up to 3 days b4 giving u a reply. I live in SG but I hv been using .com for few yrs and made > 40 bookings. These PRICELINE sites do not operate same like SG or HK site. Thank God. Never had a problem. Just enter ur full SG address and pick any zip code and corresponding state (try 90012 CA) when u enter billing address of credit card. It always works.
  4. Do not book 5 star Siam Square. U'll very likely end up with Amari watergate. Its not 5 star, its 3.5 star (ok at the very max 4 star).
  5. You're very lucky you didn't get the Renaissance new world wing which is 3 star+ only (The Renaissance wing is 5 star) and definitely not worth your bid... congrats! :)
  6. I beg to differ. Priceline HK/Singapore has different inventory than Priceline USA. Also, Priceline UK accepts some of my bids when Priceline USA wouldn't. Check out Asia Travel. Sometimes they have special deal like this. < US$100 for 5 star at KLCC vicinity. (http://book.asiatravel.com/Hotel.aspx?hid=377#hotel). The hotel list here shd give u some clue on which hotel offers that 'suite' deal (in this case, my guess is Prince, scroll all e way down). http://www.asiatravel.com/malaysia.html Enjoy. :)
  7. Couple of streets down chapel st... now that u've mentioned, I definitely will take a walk there... :)
