  2. I actually thought I was making an initially low-ball offer, but I guess not. No complaints from me, though -- location is great for my purposes and reviews seem fine.
  3. Free Internet Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Roll-in shower I've been checking HOTWIRE for awhile, as well as bidding low unsuccessfully on PRICELINE (always going through this site's links) and finally saw this HOTWIRE deal pop up tonight. I'm quite pleased.
  4. Using your PRICELINE link (of course), I started with a $61 bid for a Copley Square-Theatre District (3*) and was rejected (there was a counteroffer for $78), then added Quincy Market and upped the bid to $66, which was accepted for the Hilton Back Bay. I'm happy.
  5. sydneytraveller -- I'm relatively new to Priceline/Hotwire, too, so defer to those with greater experience, but here's my 2 cents: I just ran a search on Hotwire for your dates and there was a 3.5 star hotel in Chelsea-Madison Square Garden for $96. There's also a 3.5 star hotel in Midtown East for $106. Based on my own experience, I think you might get either of those for under $90 on Priceline (heck, personally I might just start with your original $75 wish figure), but the Chelsea-Madison Square Garden area would probably work better for you for purposes of getting to Asbury Park -- NJ Transit runs trains down to the Jersey shore (including Asbury Park) out of Penn Station, which is right at MSG -- schedule is at http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/rail/r0080.pdf You can also pick up that train in NJ, although I'm not sure how close the Hudson suites would put you to it. 6. I actually won this last week (3/18) and didn't have time to post till today. Sorry for the delay. HOTWIRE was showing a rate of $134 for what looked like Club Quarters, so I thought I'd try $99 and much to my "dismay" (only in that I aim to be rejected at least once), my bid was accepted. But I'll settle for $99. Others may be able to do better... And I did use your PRICELINE link.
  7. $145 was my first bid (and I used your PRICELINE.com link). I had booked the 63d Street (Upper West Side) YMCA as a backup sometime ago, and was watching HOTWIRE rates to get a sense of where things were heading. When I saw a Hotwire rate of $162 tonight for a 3.5* hotel meeting the Tudor Hotel's specifics on your Hotwire Hotel List, I figured I would try a PRICELINE bid for about 10% less. It worked...I suppose I might have started lower, but I'm happy enough with the results.
