My daughter is wanting the Hotel Giraffe which I don't think subscribes to any particular site

We are still in the deciding negotiating process of course I will keep you and the board updated.

I am still deciding about the December trip we have booked the tickets but not purchased the hotel yet.

For this one It's a non refundable rate through the hotel itself. I joined a loyalty club to save 10%. No different than Hotwire's terms after reading both

After the Priceline and Hotwire fees it made booking directly less expensive which rarely happens in my experience 

I would have preferred one if the hotels on the list you provided but family is right near the UN so this one is most convenient (but least cool)

After MUCH searching comparing mapping and hand wringing, we have booked the ONE UN New York (millenium) for $555 total for two nights two queen beds including tax. This was the best deal we could find. It was a toss up between that and the Hyatt grand central  but a friend of mine just stayed there and said it was way too noisy even on a higher floor. 

I will be back again on this board soon and I thank you so much for your great insight.

Another trip ! Already bought plane tickets just need hotel

Trying to buy a hotel room for My spouse/self and daughter 3 of us for NYC. We would like to be in midtown east -family lives there 45Th between 1st and 2nd

I am also open to anything suggestion wise you might know about its only two nights

I am jumping in here because I wasn't aware that 1 hotel in Central Park was on HOTWIRE! WOW

That is an amazing hotel and if you have the chance it is very cool. I love reclaimed wood and the window seats.

This is awesome and so helpful. I am shocked by these resort fees--thank you for the education here. I will let you know which one we go with. We also have to make a quick trip to see in laws in October in NYC so I will need help again, but will do that in a separate post

I am happy to consider a 4 star. I have a teenage daughter and we will be doing typical sightseeing. As long as we are safe and located well. Last year you helped us get the Times Square intercontinental Which was great! I'm open to ideas suggestions

Thanks so much for your quick response. I bought it and it was the Intercontinental Hotel and Conference Center. I think that is a great deal for $157! It was sold out on other sites so it was lucky that hot.wire had it! (I also noticed that it is the Rock and Roll Hall of fame induction that night)

I would like to get help on identifying this hotel if possible. The dates are on 4/7-4/9 one adult. The Glidden House is sold out so I know that can't be it. It is listed as $157.00

One adult two nights from March 26-March 28th 2014. This is on hotwire. Is it the Intercontnental Hotel or did they build and add more? Thank you in advance. I do not remember seeing a 4.5 star there?

Yes you are totally correct. I am not a frequent priceline person--much prefer hotwire. I was going to gamble here and try to get the portofino hotel but it is too risky. I don't see anywhere in the calendar of wins that anyone has gotten the portofino. Thank you so much for your help. I will just call the hotel directly and see what they can do for us.
