  1. Needed to stay 1 night the near the airport. Here was my bid succession, I waited one day in between bids. SEA airport - 2.5 star - $40 SEA airport - 2.5 star - $42 SEA airport - 2.5 star - $44 SEA airport - 2.5 star - $46 SEA airport - 2.5 star - $48 - counter offer of $59 from priceline, which I did not accept. SEA airport - 2.5 star - $50, WIN 3 star, Doubletree airport. I clicked on the board's PRICELINE quick quote link on this site before bidding.
  2. Originally started trying to get a 3 star. Bid up from $40 - $46 to try and get something in the Bothell or North Seattle area - no success. Added 2.5 star level and bid again at $40 Added Bellevue and increased bid to $42 Added Seattle downtown, increase to $44 Added Redmond, increase to $45 Added Lynwood, increase to $46 Added South Everett, increase to $48 Added North Everett, increase to $50 - got the Redmond Inn. Satisfied with this property, though it is a little further east than previous times when we got properties in Bothell.
  3. Put in bids for a 2.5 star in the Disneyland area. I waited 24 hours between bids. First bid was $30 - rejected. Second bid was $35 - received a counter offer of $44 - I did not accept the counter offer. Third bid was $36 - accepted and upgraded to the 3* Holiday Inn and Suites Anaheim on South Walnut St.
  4. Further update. This hotel is a not a 2-star. In fact I left a poor review of the hotel with HOTWIRE upon returning from my trip and received an email today from hotwire informing me that this hotel is now listed as a 1-star. Also they gave me a nice hotwire dollars credit for my trouble :)
  5. Just wanted to give an update on my experience with this property. This is not a 2 star property (at least compared to other properties I have stayed at). Hotel was dirty, toilet did not work properly, television did not work, thin walls, room had no closets, and there was only one entrance into the hotel (which required guest to be buzzed in by the front desk). Also found some spiders underneath the covers :) On top of all this, I had booked the room for 3 people, but when we arrived we were told the booking was for a SINGLE room with 3 guests. Not sure if this was a hotwire mistake or the hotel's problem. We did get put in a room with two doubles thankfully. Would not stay there again.
  6. Had selected the Chelsea, Midtown East, Midtown West, Madison Square, Empire State, Central Park South, Times Square, and Downtown Soho areas and bid $90, $95, $99, $100, $105, $110, $112 over the past few days. Bid $115 today and it was accepted. Holiday Inn Downtown New York City 3 Star Downtown - Soho - Financial District 138 Lafayette Street New York, New York 10013 Started my bidding through the PRICELINE link on this site.
