  1. Doing a spontaneous wedding anniversary stay. Tried $50. They countered with $65 so I knew I was in. Did a free rebid for $57 and got it. The wife is psyched! Used your PRICELINE link.
  2. I did use the PRICELINE link. Thanks for cleaning up the title.
  3. Was hoping to get the Hyatt in Tech Center North because that's where the conference is. Bid $50 and rejected. Added TC South and $55 and got the Sheraton. List rate for this hotel is $114/night and only 5 miles away.
  4. Tried Davenport only 3*, $45 -- Denied Added Bettendorf 3*, $50 and got it. used your PRICELINE link
  5. Wanted to get something in E. Lansing Bid $45 for 3* in E. Lansing and rejected. Added Lansing 3* for $50. Got exact same deal last July. Used your PRICELINE link as well.
  6. Just added a car for $48/day. Ouch. I'd gotten a $16/day offer just after booking. But, it's $5 less than I could get on Hotwire.
  7. Checked on Orbitz and the TraveLodge was $44. Started with San Rafael, 3* for $50. Denied but given the chance to up bid by $14. Added Mill Valley, 3* and $55 and got it. Used the PRICELINE link. Forgot to mention the dates. Check in 2/11, check out 2/12
  8. Tried Riverwalk 4* at $55 - Denied. Dropped to 3.5* and bumped up to $60 and got it. Used the PRICELINE link.
  9. Taliategan, Thanks for the heads up on the traffic situation. I'll keep that in mind. Update on the price, my boss just booked his room (he's staying one less night so had to bid separately). He got it for $50 on the first try.
  10. Tried for 4* DT $60 added Greentree $65 added Univ. Ctr $70 dropped to 3* and bid $60 and got it. Should be close enough to the Convention Center to be comfortable. Used the PRICELINE link. ps. could you add the city (pittsburgh) to the title?
  11. Got it on the first try. :) Amazing win. The advertised rate is $169. It also happens to be the hotel for a tradeshow I'm attending and the special show rate was $139. Used your PRICELINE link.
  12. Wanted to get something in E. Lansing Bid $45 for 3* in E. Lansing and rejected. Added Lansing 3* for $50. Advertised rate is $109. Used your PRICELINE link as well.
  13. The actual bid was $55. She tried several other zones but always at 3*. She's not familiar with Priceline bidding strategy. I'll be sure she uses the BB links in the future.
  14. My wife just sent me a note that she got the Radisson in Pewaukee. With fees, it came to about $75. We're going to visit a friend of hers and she was very keen on adding the extra day. I'm sorry, but I doubt she used your link because she's not familiar with it. Thanks for your advice. I'll be sure to use the link in the future.
  15. Thanks for the heads up. I checked the link but, with fees, we're in the $85 range. That's a little much. I think I'll try waiting for now.
  16. Got an AWESOME deal for the evening of June 21. 3.5* Sheraton in Brookfield for $37. We want to go a day earlier but I can't crack the wall. I added 3 other zones, moved down to 3* and bumped the price to $50 but was denied. Must be a Father's Day thing. I looked in Travelocity and the less attractive hotels want a minimum of $60. Not sure if there's any advice here. We're driving up from Illinois so maybe we just wait until a couple days before and try our luck again.
  17. I figured the fees were partially set no matter what the rate is. I browsed through the website and parking is free. Added bonus is that it's closer to the zoo (our destination) than the downtown hotels.
  18. Tried Brookfield 3.5* for $35. Was offered to up bid by $9 and declined Added Milwaukee North and $37 and got it. Only disappointment are the fees are $12.50 Wanted to get this property because it has a pool. Not sure if they charge for parking or not. I clicked on the PRICELINE link on this site. Hope that's how it works.
