  1. The Hotwire Lake Union post has been followed up as requested as a condition of this new request. I'm going to Seattle for football and do not have any real definite dates. All I know is that one of the dates I for sure will be in Seattle is September 12, 2009 (Hawaii vs WSU in Seattle) Given that date I am planning on staying the weekend either before or after or maybe even both. Again this is all pending on the Seahawks schedule and the Washington Huskies schedule.
  2. As a condition of my new request I am following up on this thread. There is nothing to follow up as I have not booked anything as of yet. The information gathered from previous posts, and the input from thereuare more then likely has the property as the Silver Cloud Lake Union. I am planning in being in the Seattle area sometime during the first half of September for some football games but since the NFL schedule has not been released and the UW schedule is still subject to change. Being that September is still months away I am shopping around and seeing what options I have in regards to where I am staying. Pending the finalization of the Seattle Seahawks schedule and when I finally do book I will use the HOTWIRE link provided here.
  3. I am planning a trip in the Seattle area some time in the month of September. I have not booked anything yet (I do have an open request for Seattle/Lake Union). For part of my stay I would like to stay in the Bothell-Woodinville-Kirkland zone. When I do my searches for various dates during the first two weeks of September I come up with 2 different 3* Star properties. 3* Property #1 Bothell-Woodinville-Kirkland has the following amenities: Breakfast Fitness Pool High Speed Internet 3* Property #2 Bothell-Woodinville-Kirkland has the following amenities: Breakfast Fitness Restaurant High Speed Internet Again both are showing 3* Stars. I have tried numerous times and on different computers and I am currently unable to pull any TripAdvisor information. Based on the Washington State Hotwire Hotel List there is only one 3* Star property listed and that is the Country Inn Suites. This property has a pool so it is a good possibility that it is Property #1 listed above. But then again
  4. Would it be better to book early and now...or should I sit and wait? I researched and noticed that the rate relatively remains the same throughout the next few months. The exception would be a last second/moment booking. I am also showing as I research that no other hotels ever come up in the Lake Union area. I have plugged in weekends, midweeks, overnights, etc. (all over the next few months). I have never gotten more than 1 hotel for this area. I know nothing has been reported other than the Silver Cloud (based on info here). Also, i did go ahead and update the Galveston, TX thread. My apologies for the delay.
  5. The hotel that is listed above is 1000% Hotel Galvez (with the following amenities) Near Beach Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby The stay was great and suited our needs. The Hotel Galvez has cruise parking and a shuttle that you need to sign up for. It is $14 for the week plus tips for the shuttle driver. On Sundays when cruisers depart and return it can get pretty crazy in the lobby area. The aftermath of Hurricane Ike is still very visible. There used to be a pier right out the front of Hotel Galvez that is gone. Nothing. Many of the other hotels and other properties are still boarded up. The Flagship hotel has taken a beating and from the street you can see curtains, broken mirrors, and other loose furniture. In other words Galveston has a long way to go. If you are looking for convenience then the Hotel Galvez is perfect. With the shuttle, SPEC's and WalMart being a short distance away it suited our needs. If you are looking for action then you may want to stay in another area. The 3.5* hotel in Galveston East with the listed amenities is the Hotel Galvez.
  6. I plan on going to Seattle in September and I have been trying to identify the following hotel: September 9th-15th 2009 Lake Union South 3* Currently showing $114 nt Amenities: Smoke Free Rooms Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Based on the map/zone of Lake Union this property can only be one of the three—Courtyard By Marriott, Residence Inn Marriott and the Silver Cloud. Based on what has been previously posted all points are showing Silver Cloud Lake Union • Amenities match per other posters and what is displayed on other travel sites (trip advisor, Expedia, Orbitz..etc) • The Courtyard Marriott has no complimentary breakfast (Silver Cloud and Residence Inn both have comp breakfast) • The going rates/averages based on other sites Silver Cloud-$139 nt. Courtyard-$189 nt. Residence Inn-$259 nt. • Based on info gathered on this site no other property other than the Silver Cloud has been reported as a win from the Lake Union zone. Is there any other evidence to show that this could be any other property? There is no doubt I want to stay in the Lake Union and there are only three hotels in that area. I really want the Silver Cloud but would be okay with any of the other two as well. I am really just looking for reason to believe it could not be the Silver Cloud. Thanks in advance.
  7. Another party traveling with us booked this hotel and it is indeed the Hotel Galvez. There are more amenities now then what is listed on this Websites Hotwire Hotel List. I will be booking using the HOTWIRE link given. This is the first time I got the courage to post and ask and the information shared here was invaluable and spot on. Thanks!
  8. Hotel Galvez was one of the hotels "I thought" it could be but the "added amenities" that are currently showing have thrown me off a little making me think that it wasn't the Galvez. Given that the property is labeled for the "East Side" and is a 3.5 also limits the possibilities. Thank you for your insight.
  9. Does anybody have ideas or insight which hotel this might be?--3.5-star hotel in Galveston East and Harbor Area for One night on Saturday January 10, 2009 (One room/2 adults) with the following amenities: Near Beach Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby I have been eyeing this property for some time and it has ranged between $99-$103 for the one night. Thank you in advance.
