I have used priceline several times. I have always called the hotel after getting my confirmed reservation and requested a room with two beds. I have never had a problem. I DO NOT ask for an upgrade, I just tell them I need a room with two beds and non smoking. I don't know if this will help but good luck. Another option may be to join the hotel's membership program and let them know your a member when you call to make your request.

I saw that the Lodge at Cedar Creek was the only 3* hotel listed in the hotel list for Rothschild/Mosinee area but in March 08 I bid for a 3* in that area and received the: Holiday Inn Hotel And Suites Wausau-Rothschild Mosinee 1000 Imperial Avenue Mosinee, Wisconsin 54455 Was a nice hotel but wanted to put it out there as FYI
