  1. I'm always nervous bidding on PRICELINE since it's harder to tell than with HOTWIRE what the property would be, but I studied the wins here and it really helped me get the hotel I had hoped to. Of course, I started my bidding using the PRICELINE links for from this site. I just bid $101 right away for a 4* Los Angeles (Beverly Hills-West Hollywood) and got the Andaz West Hollywood. Seems like a nice hotel and the price is right.
  2. I'm having such a hard time. PRICELINE seems too risky since my odds of knowing the hotel I will get are small. Meanwhile, the HOTWIRE prices are really high... I tried splitting days, but it doesn't make a huge difference and I think I'd prefer sticking with the same hotel for the entire stay... I'm ok with any central area and well-reviewed hotel...
  3. I was really hoping for the Eiffel Tower Hilton, but I bid without much of a strategy as I've never used priceline before and ended up with the 4* Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel And Conference Center, for $125. Located on the Left Bank near the Latin Quarter and Saint-Germain-des-Pres.
  4. I'm searching for a Whistler Hotel for either Dec 4-7 or 5-7 or 4-6. Each time I get the two following properties: 1) 4* boutique, no smoking, restaurant, laudry, internet, golf, tennis 2) 3* no smoking, swimming, restaurant busiess, laundry, internet, golf I can't figure out what these properties are?
  5. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. I have not considered splitting my stay but would rather not have to move. However, I'm not 100% opposed to it if it makes a big difference. How can I tell when is best to split? This would be for two people.
  6. Hi! I've never bid on priceline but have been browsing this forum and found it an amazing resource so far, but I also thought I'd ask for a bidding strategy for London (I also posted a request for Paris). I am looking for a 4* Hotel in London, somewhere central. I'll even consider a 3.5 star if it's a nice Holiday Inn in Kensington (sp?) or something of that sort. I'm hoping to pay under $125, but if I really need to, can go up to $140. Thank you in advance for any help!
  7. Hi! I've never bid on priceline but have been browsing this forum and found it an amazing resource so far, but I also thought I'd ask for a bidding strategy. I am looking for a 4* Hotel in Paris, in zones 3, 4, 6 or 7. I've seen listings on hotwire for $139/149, so I'm hoping to pay less on Priceline. I'm not sure what's reasonable to expect? But I'll go to $120 or so. Advice is most welcome.
