This was a bizarre win. The rates for hotels on these 2 nights were very high, so as I was staying until the Monday, I split the bidding. I bid at 2.5* and as the rack rates were all over $250 on the first night, I started at $70. Should have started lower as this was accepted straight away and I was upgraded to 3.5*. Rack rate was $329, so normal priceline rules didn't apply! The Marriott chain are obviously taking very low bids at the moment. I've been trying at $80 & $85 for a week without success. Tonight tried $85 and accepted straight away. It may be possible to get this hotel at a slightly cheaper rate. Rack rate has stayed constant the whole time at $183 per night. The advantage of this hotel is that parking and internet is included, unlike the 3* hotlels nearby.
