  1. Received this for a stay in January and was quite pleased. The hotel is in the Palm Beach Lakes zone, just north of the airport zone, but that's pretty much nonsense. It's only about a mile from the airport (with a free shuttle), but feels a world away. It's also only about a half mile from downtown. You can even walk to the new City Place dining/shopping zone (very nice) and it's a few minutes drive across the causeway to Palm Beach.

A great value at this price if you can get it. Hotel even has some resort-like ammenities, like tennis courts. As a Sheraton Perferred Guest member, they even upgraded me to the Club Floor with free deluxe continental breakfast (fresh squeezed OJ). Priceline rarely does better than this!

  2. I received the same rate at this property a month ago, so it seems pretty widely available. Strangely, the night I was there, the hotel seemed pretty crowded.

Very convenient property to the Orlando airport and the hotel has good amenities (like an indoor/outdoor pool). It is a BUSY hotel, but my room was quiet.

BTW, when my $30 3-star bids for the airport zone aren't accepted, I've been successful in the $25 to $30 range on the 2 1/2 stars. I've gotten the Courtyard a couple of times and, obviously, if you just need a low price, decent room by the airport, that's more than acceptable

  3. Stayed there last month as I needed a property along I-95. More than acceptable (I think Fairfields are good affordable motels, with free continental breakfast), but the priceline discount for I-95 hotels is little better than you can do with those "exit guide" motel coupon books widely available, including online. BTW, I think the I-95 corridor in NC may have some of the cheapest motel rates in the country. You'd be a big spender to pay 50 bucks.

  4. Received this property for a short stay in March. Had seen it come up on the TOBB board and, as a Sheraton Perferred Guest member, I bid hoping I'd get it (and get a room upgrade!).

Personally, I wouldn't want to spend my "dream vacation" here (a little too ordinary and crowded), but if you happen to need a reasonably-priced hotel room in Honolulu for a few nights, it seems hard to beat. Discounted rates directly from the hotel average more than twice this price.

  5. In the Lihue-East Shore zone, available for March.

I haven't stayed yet at this hotel, which seems to get mixed reviews (Frommers lists it as one of the best places to stay in Hawaii with kids; others describe it as a moldly dump). But I needed a couple nights in the area (it's 10 minutes to the airport), and the price is obviously right

BTW, my $51 bid was rejected and the "locals" rate is $65, so I don't think you'll find a better discount on this property. I also noticed that the Entertainment Book has discount food and luau coupons for the property, which makes it an even more economical choice.

  6. From their description, I am 99% certain that Hotwire is offering the famous Wiamea Plantation Gardens for $96, with availability for every day I've looked. This Wiamea zone, btw, doesn't exist on Priceline.

WPG is a great "old Hawaii" destination for those who aren't too fussy about modern conveniences, like air conditioning, and want to step back in time to the way Hawaii "was."

$96 is a good discount, but I am a little afraid of what cottage they will stick you with. From personal experiences, the cottages vary A LOT, and they're not too keen on free upgrades. I personally have booked the place using an Entertainment Card 50% discount (call Aston, not the hotel directly!) so that I could choose the cottage class I wanted. I am, however, travelling with my family, so I wanted a larger cottage. For a couple, the better discount may be on Hotwire.
