I stayed there during a convention Nov 8-11, 2008

Spa, Internet, Business center, restaurant 4.5 stars Beverly / west hollywood This was the Sofitel, across from the beverly center. Excellent restaraunt - not cheap but serious quality and +++ service. Asking for two queens instead of 1 king was not an issue at all. I paid 114-ish for an otherwise 250 room. Used the HOTWIRE link on this site.

Don't worry about the 3.5 star rating - the westin lax is just fine - been there numerous times for conventions.

I am looking for the Westin LAX for November. The only 4 * LAX has the following icons - Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Laundry, Internet AND No Smoking. TA rating 280+ as of may 09. Westin actual TA site rating at 306 reviews Last year I stayed there and there was no "no smoking" icon. I wanted to check and see if anyone has the experience of the no smoking icon showing up on the westin LAX? Will buy through your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links, as I did last year - Thanks in advance for your help

I've stayed there numerous times with no problems from staff at all. I've stayed in good and bad hotels all over the world. This is not the absolute best hotel I've stayed in, but it is very far from the worst, as well. I also have enjoyed the restaurant - not cheap prices, but you definitely get an excellent meal. The only complaint I have is that it is pricey parking, considering there is a lot nearby, and on the street nearby, and that the bar was understaffed considering that I stayed during a 2000 person convention, so they should have known there would need be more barmen. I would not dissuade anyone from staying there.

HI - I did confirm that the reservation is showing up at the Westin, and I will call Sofitel today. I used the HOTWIRE links for those reservations. Also, thank you for your advice on the 2* - I really am not getting any bids accepted at 80 or 90 on hotwire, and I don't want to chance that I'll end up at the Ramada at Vermont. I'm going to confirm my reservation at the rodeway on beverly (89 / night) as the location is ideal, or I'll just pick up another night at the Westin LAX, still showing at $85 Thanks again!

Hello again - I would like to stay in H/Weho for 2 nights without spending a ton, but I'd like to stay in a good location. I was wondering if anyone knows which hotel this may be? 2* complementary breakfast high speed internet Trip Adv: 3.5 / 5, 20+ reviews as of August 2008 $69 per night If anybody has experience in this area, I'd appreciate your help. I was going to spend these 2 nights on a budget, and priceline for the rooms but nothing is coming up at all in the area. I'd bid up to 80 for a 3 star and came up empty. The reason I didn't go to a 2 star on priceline was because I have an alternate for that amount. The other alternative I found is the Rodeway on Beverly blvd for 89 a night (on their site) since all the reviews say its a perfect location and clean (which is basically my requirement for these 2 nights). The 2nd alternate is to just stay at the Westin LAX at 85/night (easy to get to hollywood from there, but otherwise price for the quality is the only reason I'd stay there) Since I'm not really familiar with travel in the area, I'm open to all suggestions : ) Any advice is appreciated.

SUCCESS! This is the Sofitel in Beverly Hills. I just purchased it. Now I just need the airport hotel. BTW, what is throwing me on the LAX location is that there is a 3.5 star appearing with the same amenities +spa , and I hadn't seen an LAX 3.5 before.

Hello! First let me tell you how incredibly helpful your site is. I was so nervous about using Hotwire and Priceline until reading your site. I am trying to ID 2 different hotels - the first is near LAX, and I'm using Hotwire. I entered Nov. 6-10, 2 people staying in one room, LAX 4 star. The amenities listed (in order) are : airport shuttle gym pool restaurant business center laundry high speed internet Trip Advisory rating : 3.5 out of 5, 240+ ratings, Oct 08 update It shows as $84 per night. According to your list this may be the Westin or the Sheraton, but I wanted to be sure I'm using the guide correctly (as this would be such a fantastic deal!) Please let me add that, of course, any 4 star in that area for under $100 is fine - I have friends staying at the Westin during that time, which is why I'm trying to see if I'll be nearby. And, I would happily use your link to HOTWIRE for the purchase! Thanks in advance! Anne
