  1. Got Tampa Bay Grand Hyatt for $69 for one mid-week night in August 2004
  2. Got Coral Gable Hyatt Regency for on Priceline for $46 for two week nights in August
  3. We just made this same trip this month. Ibooked all my rooms on Hotwire or Pricelin except Victoria. The new Marriott there has a better deal on their website for a grandopening special of $119($158 Canadian) a night. It's a beautiful hotel, great servie. I highly reccommend the breakfast buffett. It is not on the waterthough, so if views are important to you you may want to go elsewhere. We stayed at the Vintage Park in Seattle -Loved it! $105 a night. My husband liked it so much, had me change our last nightto The Monaco- which is another Kimpton Hotel a block over- it was a better deal on Hotwire than I could get that night on Priceline at $105. We stayed at the Marriott Pinnicle in Vancouver- Priceline $65. Great views!!!!!! Beautiful Hotel. I highly reccommend visiting Granville Island and Especially the Pacific Culinary Institute for dining or thier pastery shop. Their food is cheap and DEVINE, you willnot be disappointed!!!!!!! The Fish House in Stanley Park is great also- and reasonably priced. We took Amtrak from Seattle to Vancouver they have a direct morning train or you can return from Vancouver, but the train is at night and I wanted to see the scenery. We loved this trip- pay the extra for Business class- it's worth it. Bring your headphones/ ear buds if you want to hear the movie, or buy them from them for $4. We took the Bus/ Ferry from Vancouver to Victoria. It leaves from the train station several times a day. Pacific Lines- is the name. This was great!! Huge Ferry- it's like a cruise ship- You just pull up in the ferry on the bus along with all the other cars and semitrucks, etc. Beautiful views- I highly reccommend this as well. We returned to Seattle on the Clipper- get there early to get a good seat. This is a much smaller passenger ferry that travels at a high speed, but it's the fastest way back to Seattle. If you buy your ticket in Canada, it is a bit less expensicve with the exchange rate. We took the trolley back to our hotel from the Clipper. Don't miss the Pike Place Market. It's great! -so is Seattle Center. We made a quick trip- 5 nights, 6 days- so I did not want to rent a car. We were able to walk to everything or take the Monorail(take the loop around Vancouver- it's the best way to see the whole city- easy, comfortable and cheap!), bus or trolley. Cabs in Seattle are fairly cheap also. Have fun! It's a great time of year to go!
  4. 4* Waldorf, 8th floor - King mini-suite Loved it!
  5. We stayed here two nights 7/17-18/2004 for $120 a night. This hotel has a nice location especially if you are in town for Broadway shows or Letterman. The staff is friendly. I would not rate it a 4*hotel. The beds are comfortable, but the amenities are 2-3*. The TV has few channels and the only furniture other than a built in formica table is a TV cart that doubles as a place for a coffee pot with Maxwell House. Very stark college dorm room type room. Warning**** There is NO soundproofing between walls- at least on our floor 36- you can clearly hear who ever is next to you which was a problem- we were even in an end room. The hotel restaurant is not open at night. We were told to go to the Sheraton across the street. They offered a $50 "Sheraton guarantee" credit, but we still would rather have stayed else where and would not stay there again because of the stark amenities and noise problems.
  6. Stayed one night 7/15/2004 for $139 on Priceline. No added charges. We were very pleased. This is a historic nicely renovated hotel. Good location right off Park Ave. near shopping. Beautiful hotel definently 4* small bath, but our room was a nice size even with a King bed. I would recommend and stay again.
  7. Got 4* MTW Sheraton NY Tower $120 for 7/17-18. I bid one week earlier.
  8. got this last week The Intercontinental Barclay $130 for 7/15. I bid 4-5 days earlier. Nice hotel.
  9. Sorry didn't get to post earlier, but thought this good for the record. Got the Waldorf 7/16/2004 for $130 on priceline. I bid 5 days before. Great hotel up graded to King mini suite for a total of $180- half the price on website.
  10. We just stayed at the Barclay this past week and enjoyed it. It is very nice- small bathrooms, but definently 4**** Just one thing to point out. Many of the hotels will let you upgrade your room if you want something bigger or nicer for a little more. We just did this at the Waldorf and got a suite for $50 more. It was great!
