  1. Boutique hotel Fitness center Golf nearby Internet access Pet friendly Restaurant(s) Smoke-free rooms Spa services
  2. I really wanted Chelsea or Madison Square Garden zones because of proximity to Javits Convention Center. I added Times Square as I raised my bid. It's a convention week so prices are high. 2 nights @ $215 plus taxes/fees totals $537.62. I'm not sure I will like this hotel (with mixed reviews) but I'll give it a try.
  3. I was nervous on the way to the hotel. I read on TripAdvisor that the rooms in the pyramid did not have wifi (I NEED wifi for work) and that a/c works poorly in those rooms. It was over 100 degrees outside. I was EXTRA nice to the front desk staff and was given a beautiful room in the newer tower with wifi and great a/c. I am thankful that I did my research and was able to be proactive for room choice.
  4. I didn't do such a great job bidding this time. I see $170 special offer at hotel's website and I could have gotten HH points. I'll need to be more careful next time.
  5. 5 rooms for 2 nights total $1560 + $279.60 taxes & fees = $1,839.60
  6. Free Internet, Pet friendly, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access BTW, I didn't see this combination of amenities in your pinned NY hotel list.
  7. Exact match to amenities listed at BetterBidding. Restaurant, fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business Center Thanks again for the help.
  8. Tried 3.5* in multiple zones starting at $175. I was going to take 3* at Hotwire for over $200. Priceline 4* win is a better deal at $190.
  9. I am also seeing same amenities as OP for 3* TS on Sep 5-6 @ $225: Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access Also says "We are still gathering reviews for this property."
  10. Restaurant, High-speed Internet, Free Internet, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroo, Handicapped parking 2 rooms for 1 night $423.32 incl taxes/fees Hard to find discount on this night in downtown Chicago,
  11. Amens: Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Ctr, High-speed internet 2 rooms for 2 nights $698.83 incl tax/fees
  12. Used your PRICELINE link and followed most of your bidding advice. Bid up to $170 for more desireable areas & used re-bidding zones. Then added Downtown area and started bidding at $140. Total with tax and fees is $188.81. I'm only staying 1 night so downtown should be ok.
  13. Royalton Hotel was great: excellent location, super-cool luxurious room, everything seemed new/updated. Loved it!
  14. I started with a bid of $128 for 4* MTE, MTW, TS and ESB. The first bid was accepted at the Royalton Hotel. Total cost for 2 rooms for 1 night with taxes and fees is $318.20. I used your link to PRICELINE. Thank you for the help!
  15. All those areas are ok. $150 max but cheaper is even better.
  16. I am actually very flexible for location since it's just a 1-night business trip. My goal is to find a 4* at a decent price not too far from a subway stop. I'd be open to any of the midtown districts. Lower Manhattan would be an acceptable second choice.
  17. Need 2 rooms for 1 nite 4/25 to 4/26. I used your link to go to PRICELINE. In Times Sq area the "best deal" is for a 4-star hotel. How much should I bid for it? I didn't see any recent wins for 4-star in that area on the board.
  18. First bid accepted at Priceline. I used betterbidding link to PRICELINE. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $44.00 Subtotal: $88.00 Taxes & Fees: $21.64 Total Charges*: $109.64
  19. Bid $50 for 4* - rejected Added 3.5* and bid $51 - accepted Doubletree Miami Mart/Airport Hotel & Exhibition Center. Total with tax $65.31 for one nite. Used PRICELINE link from Better Bidding website.
  20. Avis car at $60 / day. Total cost for 5 days $385. Cheapest price elsewhere was over $500. It's a peak week in Miami. I hope the winning bid was from a BetterBidding link. I had to sign out and sign into Priceline many times to re-bid. Started at $30 and rebid about 20 times to get acceptance at $60.
  21. Can u help ID these two Miami South Beach - Oceanfront Collins hotels (12/20/09 - 12/23/09): 3-star $95 Beach Fitness Pool Restaurant Internet 2-1/2 star $89 Boutique Beach Pool Restaurant Business Ctr Golf Tennis Spa Thanks for any help! Ben in Minneapolis
  22. Miami (Coral Gables - Coconut Grove) does not have a beach. It's about 20 minutes to Key Biscayne or a bit further to Miami Beach for a real beach. I'd recommend you find a hotel in Miami Beach since you will only have 1 night and probably will be tired of driving.
  23. Accepted first bid of $38 for 3* in Madison East. Got Courtyard By Marriott Madison East. I like Courtyard chain so this should work fine for me. I used BetterBidding link to PRICELINE.
  24. Bid $65 for New Orleans Downtown Conv Center 4/22/08 - 4/24/08. Bid accepted. Hilton Riverside. I used your link to PRICELINE.
