I recently did this, and the hotel had to call me to verify the guests, i didn't know who would be checking in so I couldn't fill out their information

Both ways I would imagine, they wouldnt do it if there wasnt profit

In my experince it was the same as some one who rented with no status. Like you mentioned no upgrade ect. but no "oh your a priceline customer". I have even had them offer to upgrade me for a fee. But stay within the limits of what you bid. Return to the same location and return on time.

I was shocked the time they offered to upgrade me for free, but it was great :)

I was recently banned I had posted for bidding help but then decided to go hotwire and posted my results her she kept posting for a update I would see that and not update and now I see that I have been ip banned.

My biggest complaint against PRICELINE is that all too often I get a stinking filthy smoker's room.

It appears that the nonsmoking rooms go to the full rate customers.

Additionally several hotels give you a PRICELINE inferior room. King beds are reserved for full price guests.

I've had this happen to and I hate it, theres obviously a reason i chose the non smoking room and thats b/c I dont want to smell smoke, ugh.

I have had no problem bidding as far as six months out. I believe I get as good a deal as those that bid just weeks away. And don't forget Hotwire.
