  1. congratulations, Just wondering which districts you chose to get the Hyatt...and which star rating did you choose? I have tried the 3 1/2 * upwards and I didn't get any hits...may be it's my dates..dont' know. Any tips you have to pass on would be much appreciated.
  2. A lot has changed in Halifax. Many of the mature trees have been cut down in the Public Gardens and Point Pleasant Park. Peggy's Cove is more touristy friendly now. The big boulders have been removed so that people can safely walk along the man-made paths now. Be sure to check out the Tall Ships and Buskers when they're there usually around August. The concert on the hill (Citadel Hill) and the fireworks in July are fun but very crowded. have fun!
  3. If the day pass for the bus or subway in NYC is $7 per adult, do they have family passes? or passes for children as well?
  4. Hi, I ended up in a different location than from my original post. I used PRICELINE to stay at the Omni Resort at Championsgate from Oct.22 - Oct.24, 2008. Very nice place, but further away from Disney World. It wasn't a problem though as we had rented a car through PRICELINE. (There is a shuttle bus betweem Omni and Walt Disney World). I ended up booking directly at Regal Sun Resort for Oct. 17-20 and Oct. 20-21 (2 separate bookings that I ended up merging together). Next time I would definitely try for Omni again, with a rental car. Thanks for all your help.
  5. I "won" a bid for 3.5* Times Square on Priceline at Sheraton Manhattan at Times Square for $160 +s/c and taxes. My dates were Dec. 12-14/08. This was my first bid for today. On Nov. 12, 2008, I made a similar bid for 3.5* and "won" at $186 + taxes and s/c for Dec. 14-18/08 but was refused the Dec. 12-14 weekend dates. It was the same hotel. It may pay to wait sometimes...we probably could have gone a little lower but we were anxious to get a room for next week. good luck.
  6. There are no hotels available for NYC, Times Square on HOTWIRE for the past few days. I'm just wondering if anyone knows, if I put bids in on PRICELINE in Times Square would I still be able to get a hotel? My dates are Dec. 12-18/08 for 2 adults and 2 kids. any suggestions?
  7. Hi, Can anyone help to identify this 4* hotel in Lake Buena Vista/downtown Disney? It has the following: -Resort -fitness -pool -restaurant -business center -high speed internet access -spa I would greatly appreciate your help!
  8. Hi, This is all new to me and I JUST won a bid at the Omni Resort in Orlando. Should I be expecting a resort fee bill at the hotel? or is this all included.... Thanks a bunch!
  9. Just "won" a $86 bid for Oct 22-24/08 at Omni Resort at Championsgate! The total is as follows: Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $86.00 Subtotal: $172.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $31.75 Total Charges*: $203.75 yahoooooo :)
  10. Hi, I'm new to this....so this may sound really really dumb but how many "bids" are you able to do for Disney Resort? I think I got confused with the different colors...so I wasn't sure which areas had or didn't have resorts. thanks.
