Success! $59 where the online rate is $99

I've been trying all week to get a 2.5* hotel in Fargo for Apr 8-10 but no luck. Started at $48 then to $50, 53, 55 and final bid of $58 was rejected. Am I trying to early to score a room??? Should I wait another week or two? Thanks!

After a couple of days of slowly increasing a bid (up to $48), I tried again at $36 and was given the option to rebid @ $46 - took the deal! Wonder if weekend bidding is biased?!?!
