  1. Entered a bid of $50...got the recommended $63 to get a room. Saw that someone booked in the same area in August for $55, so I added Marrieta(no 4* available) and bid $55. Ended up with the Hilton Downtown. Would have liked to get another hotel, but not too bad, considering my bids of $65 weren't getting accepted in the neighboring zones. So, I'll take it.
  2. I think that the Galleria, Marrietta or Buckhead would be good. I can't tell what the actual price range would be. I've seen $40-80 range. Which would be fine. Just don't know the best way to go about it.
  3. I'm looking for a 4* hotel close to Sandy Springs in ATL. Any recommendations?
  4. Forgot to update...sorry about that....We ended up having to cancel our trip.....thanks for the help...as always!
  5. I'm looking to get a room in Alpharetta, GA this coming weekend. Can you tell me which zone this is part of?
  6. Ok, the best dates would be Sept 15-18. If it made it better to go earlier we could do that. There seems to be 2 other hotels in that area, if that is correct then those would be fine. But obviously if there are certain price points that can give me a better chance at the JW that would be preferred.
  7. Oops. I knew I was missing something. Ok..dates are fairly flexible. Anytime between Aug 22 and Sept 18. We want to sty about 3 nights. I was looking at their site and it showed 139/night which was ok. But I figured I'd use priceline to get a better deal and make you guys some $ for all the advice! I saw some people getting bids accepted at 45-50/ night. That would be awesome, but if I could stay under 70/ night, I'd do it. Let me know if I'm crazy!
  8. I would prefer the JW. I was looking at the other ones and they don't seem so bad. I just didn't know if there were different price points that would assure me the JW. If there aren't any price points to try to get the JW, could you recommend what price to start bidding?
  9. OK, I was trying to get the Central Park or Midtown West 4 star hotels, for Aug 8-11. I did a bid of $170 and got a counteroffer of $195. I went back to the main page and it didn't recognize that I had previously bid, so I was able to do the same place at $185 and I got it. Sofitel----little farther then I would have liked, but eh....$185/night.
  10. Ok, I finished off my other thread! Sorry about that. So for my necessities above, how should I go about this?

    BOI to ATL

I ended up not needing to book the ticket. I got a free pass from a friend. Thanks!
  12. What part would you recommend I bid on so that I can get a hotel that fits the needs I listed above?
  13. Like I said above, I'd like to stay around $200 for the top price. If I can get a similar star quality/review as the Hilton that would be ideal. And it must be walking distance....
  14. OK, so I was going to stay at the Hilton New York on the Avenue of the Americas. But the group block was filled up :) So, any help on getting a hotel close to it? I'm looking to spend around $200/night....the dates are Aug 8-Aug 11. Help please!!!

    BOI to ATL

I'm looking to go from Boise to Atlanta on May 22 and then return June 8. I've even looked at leaving from SLC to ATL. Anyone with any good ideas or had any success recently?
