  1. Started 2 days ago at $35 rejected. As there is nothing less than 3* in Portland area and we needed to be near the airport had to only do one bid a day. Yesterday bid $40 and rejected. Went to $45 tonight and was accepted. Total price is $58.13. Always use BB PRICELINE links.
  2. Started at $43 for Airport Only and was told to bid $51 and could have the room. Added downtown and went to $45 and was accepted. Total $58.15. Holiday Inn website shows lowest price for a room is $117.99. Tremendous deal I would say. Used BB links.
  3. On this surface this doesn't look like much of a bargain BUT we are attending a Body by Vi convention which is expecting 15,000 participants at the Georgia World Congress Center and the convention preferred rates in the area are in the $129+ range. Started at $55 (had a 24 hour $5 discount reward from Priceline) moved up the ladder to $100+$5. This was going to be my stopping point for the day as there are 12 possible bids if just bidding on 4* hotels. They must have read my mind as we got the Regency at the $100 ($105) point. Regency website shows rates starting at $159 plus tax. Our two nights are $241.32 including fees and taxes so not so bad. Website says they are undergoing renovations so who knows. We won't be spending much time at the hotel though. Looks like it might be a little hike but exercise never hurt anyone, huh? Of course I used BB links to PRICELINE.
  4. Started with 3* in Durham for $40 - told could have room for $54; rebid adding Research Triangle Park for $42 and was accepted. Used BB links. Total is $56.44. It will work just fine!
  5. First try of $35 was rejected. Told could have room for $45. Added another area and rebid the $38 we had received before and it was accepted. Good bed for a sleep over. Used BB PRICELINE links. Total is $49.78. Thanks!!!!!
  6. Used BB PRICELINE links - decided to extend stay in LA. Knew I could extend the Redondo Beach Hotel for 3 days but after looking at new flights decided to try to get near LAX. Got the Hilton on second try for $60 (first try was $55 and given the upgrade to $66 pitch which tells me there are rooms available I just have to find the magic number and it is usually lower than what they offer) thus could save a day on car rental and the convenience is priceless. Then decided to try again for Sat and Sun nights which we still didn't have a room and also got the Hilton for $60. Checked and both hotels charge $22 for parking. So we are happy campers. Doing 2 bids was a little more expensive than doing the 3 nights at once but I only have myself to blame. Total for 2 nights $$148.30 and total for Monday night was $76.49.
  7. Used BB PRICELINE links! Started several days ago trying to get around LAX - went to $70 on various days with no luck. Talked to business assoc who had gotten this hotel for $80 for same dates so I added the area at $70 and got it on first try. Looks like I should have tried for a lesser price. Live and learn LOL. Total for 3 days $251.04. Just found out we are extending our stay till Tuesday. So went back to LAX and got 4* Hilton for $60. Will post on another topic.
  8. Looking for a room for Oregon State Football - rooms are expensive. Tried PRICELINE for several days going up to $65 on both 2 and 2.5* with all rejected. Checked all three areas, Corvallis, Albany and one other I can't remember. Saw this on HOTWIRE and took it. Never heard of the Hotel, suppose to be a 3 star. Amenities shown were Continental Breakfast Fitness Center Pool High Speed Internet Total for two days is $144.87 Room $124 and taxes $144.87. Went online to hotel and because of game, I'm sure, rates were jacked up. Least accommodations were nonrefundable King Suite for $89 or a total of $195.80. My Hotwire receipt showed a 14% savings but I think this was a little better. Hotel Website says it is an all suites hotel.
  9. Using the BB PRICELINE links first try was for $35; rejected but told could book room for $42. Added another area and bid $38 and was accepted. Have had difficulty this trip finding rooms so we are happy with this. Total of $49.85. Don't know if anyone has mentioned but PL has made it a little more difficult to just keep adding areas. It seems after two attempts the declination throws up their available rooms (with names). To keep adding you have to start all over and go back in and remember where you had bid previously. Not a big problem but a nuisance in my book.
  10. Used BB PRICELINE links of course. First attempt was $40 in area 4 Canton; rejected but offered room at $55. Added Area 2 (only a 2* area and increased bid to $45. Accepted. Total is $58.59. Looks like an interesting hotel in downtown Canton. Couldn't tell if parking was free or not. Thanks!
  11. Using BB PRICELINE links it was a little harder getting a room this time. Went from $45 to $50 in Airport areas with no luck for a 3*. Closed out and went back in at a 2.5* in Airport area first at $40 rejected. Added executive park and increased to $45 and was accepted. Total $61.50 for one night.
  12. WOW am I excited. We love this hotel and really thought it was a 3.5* - should have paid attention as a previous bidder showed it as 3*. I started bidding 3.5* at $40 for Area 3 and 6 taking it to $60 by adding only 3* areas. All were rejected so decided to start all over again as I didn't want alot of the areas I had included at 3.5*. Went to Airport area, 3* and bid $45. YES, it was accepted on first try. Total for 2 nights is $115.26. This is a great place to stay. Used BB PRICELINE links for this amazing deal!
  13. First bid of $45 accepted thru BB PRICELINE links. $45.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $45.00 Taxes and Fees: $14.72 Total Charges*: $59.72 Great place to eat right next door - the Diner.
  14. Been trying for a 3* for the past week starting at $37 and final bid today was $55 with no success. In looking at Fresno State Calendar discovered this is graduation week so shifted to a 2.5* at $40, $43 and was finally accepted at $45. Have no idea what the hotel is like but total cost is $58.26 so for one night it will have to be okay. Used BB PRICELINE links.
  15. :) Using bb PRICELINE links, I worked on this yesterday and went from $42 to $50 with no success. Started today at $48 with offer of getting room immediately in area 10 for $63. Kept on bidding and was accepted at $51. Have stayed here before; great place, so am pleased. Total for 3 nights is $181.47 or about $60.50 a night. Great deal as website lowest rate was $286.30 total and that was advance payment and nonrefundable. I'll take that savings any day.
  16. :) Sure happy to see Priceline break out the airport from downtown. This is our first time bidding on the airport location. Happy with results. Started at $40 and got the usual for $15 more or $55 you can have it today. And as usual I ignored it and rebid by adding Area 2 Hayward and going to $43. Accepted!!!!! Total is $55.85. Their website rates run around $90 and up. Free shuttle so we can save a day on car rental and take convenient shuttle to airport. Used BB PRICELINE links! Thanks again.
  17. Not our first choice but tried up and down Highway 19 and 79 bidding up to $60 even around Pittsburgh with no luck so went here. Knew this would be the hotel as we have gotten it before - not bad just not real good but is a comfortable bed for a night's sleep on our way home. Total of just over $50. Thanks bb; used your PRICELINE links.
  18. Started my bidding with a 3.5* at $45 area 3 (Airport) - took it all the way to $55 by adding other areas with no luck. Exited out and started again using 3* - exited out because I had added some areas I didn't want that had a 3* but no 3.5* in my first attempts. Accepted on first try for $45 - of course, now I am wondering, could I have gotten it for $40??? Regardless have a good bed to sleep in - have stayed here before for a good price. Total of $58.74. Thanks again for providing this site - now if I could get paid for everyone I have referred this site to - it would be great.
  19. Started at $48 and LAX area; rejected but offered instant $63; added Culver (no 3.5 stars) and rebid $50; rejected; added Lawndale and rebid $52; accepted. Of course, I used your PRICELINE links. Total is $66.72 for one night.
  20. Always find these bids challenging. Started yesterday at $35 with offer for $50; added other areas one at a time until I got to $38. All were rejected. Came back today and started at $38 in area 2; rejected with offer to accept $53. Then added area 3 went to $39 and was accepted. We find Fresno an easy area to get around so for us it brings all 4 areas into play and gives us 4 tries each time at 3*. Don't really want Clovis but it only goes to 2.5*. Total charge is $51.40. Very pleased. Thanks again and of course I used your PRICELINE links. By the way we have stayed here before and it is a great place.
  21. Worked hard for this - as I had plenty of time I started on the 5th of March at $46 area 7; $48 area 7 3; $50 area 7 3 6; all rejected. Continued this strategy and on the 6th received a "get the room for $63 reply". In the past I could usually pickup the room by going $3-$5 more but not this time. Continued 4 more days and finally got the room for $57 tonight. If I remember right Hilton has $22 parking which we aren't crazy about but guess we can't be choosey. Total for 3 nights is $204 or about $68. Guess the period of $45 rooms is gone. I'll miss them. Used BB links.
  22. An expensive room considering the reservation I made earlier for the wrong dates. Still got this one on first try - $60.46 with taxes and fees. Used BB links
  23. Boy did I screw up - I actually made this reservation for next week checking in the 12 and out the 13 so you need to change the dates. Won't be using this room but that's the way it goes.
  24. One of our guys changed his mind and decided to stay in WS instead of checking out. Went in at $40 and was accepted. Darn, I could have saved some money if I had tried this earlier. Room cost is $40 +$6.60 taxes and $7.99. Very happy as I understand rooms are at a scarcity this next week because of a big basketball tourney in town. Used BB links.
  25. Accepted on first try - $219.04 for 4 nights - just a little over $55 including taxes. Used BB Rooms are okay - not up to the usual LaQuinta standards or at least the ones we have stayed in previously.
