  1. Tried last night with bids of $45 and $50 using both areas. Both were rejected. Tried tonight starting at $50 - got the old "for $57 you can have your room". As we were leaving early in the morning didn't want to take a chance so jumped on it. Used your BB PRICELINE links. Total is $73.20. Thanks again for this site.
  2. First bid of $55 for a 3* was rejected. Added 2.5* and rebid $60 and was accepted. Total is $75.11. Used the BB PRICELINE links.
  3. Started trying last night with $45; was rejected with offer to have room at $56. This usually means you can secure room somewhere in between. Tried tonight at $50 - had I read post of $51 first I would have probably tried at $48 with still another night but am happy with this result. Total amount is $63.28. Used your bb links to PRICELINE.
  4. Used BB PRICELINE link. Actually have two separate reservations - 1st for Friday night and then Sunday and Monday nights. Tried for $35 on both with offer to give rooms for increase of $8 or $43 total. Went and added area 9 and bid $40 and was accepted. First night total is $52.45; Sun and Mon total is $98.22.
  5. You will need to move this to the Priceline site. I couldn't find a way to put this post. Guess I need instructions - always seem to have trouble when it comes to posting even after 100+ posts. Anyway here goes. Used BB Priceline line. Waited until the last minute so couldn't be picky - Put in a bid for $65 for a 2.5 and then added 2*. Got the message I could book for $87. Normally I would have played around but since we needed the room tomorrow night I took the offer. Total is $104.32. Had planned to stay in Corvallis both Fri and Sat nights but at $104 will try for Portland on Friday night. Also noticed that this is a 3* on Hotwire and 2.5 on Priceline. Would appreciate instructions on how to find post - I always go to the site for the location and then open one of the posts and go to "new topic" from there. Since there were no Corvallis Priceline options I took this route. Must be an easier way. Thanks.
  6. Using BB PRICELINE link started looking for a place around Summersville WV where we usually stay for $38 a night. Over two days I went to $44 and couldn't land a room. Tried Beckley yesterday at $45 and was told if I would settle for $56 they had a room for me. Came back today at $52 and got the room. Total of $65.97. Will have to do.
  7. Used BB Links to PRICELINE and added another room for just one night. Didn't mess around went right to $42 and was accepted on first bid. Happy -
  8. Used BB PRICELINE link. Started with 3.5* at $40 - got message I could book now for $53. No Way - Added other non 3.5 areas and was accepted at $46. Think next time we will stick with 3* after reading about parking at Hyatt. We are not flying, just a stop over on our way up north so would rather not be directly at the airport but that's life. Have stopped over here many times and this is the first time we got the Hyatt so will check it out and keep that in mind for next time. Total is $59.94 but then there is the parking as others have said. Thanks for the site!!!
  9. Used BB PRICELINE links - been working on this for a few days. Started with 4* downtown until I discovered the high cost of parking by checking out the hotels. We stayed at the Airport in December and it was very convenient to downtown where we need to be so decided to take that route. First try for a 3.5* went from $38 to $43 - all rejected but was told at $38 could have a room for $49 if I chose to go that way - I didn't. Tried the 3* last night and went from $38 to $40 - only 2 bids available. Tonight I took the 3.5* from $42 to $46 with no luck. Decided to switch to 3* and started at $42 and was accepted on first bid. Total for 3 nights $155.58. The convention we are attending is offering rooms for $149 plus tax and $28 parking according to the hotel website a night downtown. We are staying at the Courtyard for less than one night there and it will take around 10 minutes to get downtown and parking at the convention center is like $5. Great deal as far as we are concerned. Had hoped for Hyatt Place, I love their hotels, but the Courtyards are always nice. Thanks---
  10. Worked for this one - started at 3* and went from $50 to $55 - all rejected; then reentered at 2.5* started at $25 with caveat that I can have room for $36 but I wanted better so I went to $27 $30 and finally did $35 and got this and am very pleased. Total for room is $47.57. Thank you again!!!!! Of course I used your PRICELINE links.
  11. Used BB PRICELINE links. Started with 4*. Our ideal location was International Drive North - I went from bids of $50 to $60 by adding non 4* areas. All were rejected. Then went to 3.5* and placed bids from $45 to $51 using the same strategy and all were rejected. Now to the 3*, I started with $47 and added the International Drive South at $48 and landed this hotel. Know nothing about it - website shows lots of various rates and shows it as a 3 diamond AAA. It is only for one night with a total of $61.87 so it will be okay. Thanks again for this site. Been staying close to home lately so have missed the challenge of bidding.
  12. Used BB PRICELINE Links - Started at $40, rejected but offered room for $52. Rebid adding other non 3.5 areas and went with $42-rejected; $44-rejected; $45-rejected and then $47 + $14.05 taxes and fees which had been winning bid in past and it worked again. Total room $61.05.
  13. Used BB PRICELINE links. Started with 3* and went up to $60 - all rejected with no counteroffers. Then went to 2.5* and up to $52 with all rejected so went to 2* and was accepted on first try for $40 total of $52.40.
  14. Using the BB PRICELINE links accepted on first try so have no idea if I could have done better. As we just decided to drive rather than fly I didn't have much time to play around. Total is $53.36 Sure it will be okay.
  15. Looks like I paid more than necessary yesterday. Discovered today that we needed one room for Friday and since yesterdays bid was for 2 rooms decided to take my chances on rebidding and hopefully getting the same hotel. Figured I had 4 bids available so using BB PRICELINE links I started at $43 and was accepted first try. Total for the one night is $57.46.
  16. Using BB links started with 4* as was trying for downtown. Went from $50 to $62 with no luck. Backed out and went back in at 3.5* starting with downtown at $50, no luck; added airport as this would also work for $52 and was accepted. Needed two rooms, two nights for total of $252.28 or $63.07 each room.
  17. Wanted Airport area so started 3.5* at $35. By adding those areas without 3.5* I went to $37, $40, $42, $45 and was finally accepted at $47 with a total of $61.05. Had planned to stop at $50. Since this is Thanksgiving night thought I could do better but this is okay. Website shows $129 plus tax. Used the BB PRICELINE links!
  18. At last minute needed room for Thursday night - first bid of $40 was successful. Was hoping for Holiday Inn but will have to check out and change hotel tomorrow. Used BB PRICELINE links. Total was $52.45.
  19. First bid of $50 accepted. As there really wasn't much history I think if I had had more time I would have started lower. Looks like a nice place - have never been to Bend so looking forward to a new location. Total was $62.80. Used BB Links
  20. First bid of $$42 rejected; given option of taking room immediately for $50 - didn't. Added another area and bid $45 which was accepted. Have stayed here before - next door to casino - it's okay but would have rather not been downtown but oh well, it's clean and comfortable. Total for one night stay $58.38. It appears during the week there is a "city fee" of $5 for parking.
  21. Another Oregon State football game and another reservation for Portland. Got this on first try. Used BB PRICELINE links. Total amount is $189.60 for 2 rooms for 2 nights. Hotel was experiencing construction when we stayed in October but was clean and comfortable and good shuttle back to airport.
  22. Interesting - I am sure on my original post I mentioned that I didn't like the new site and search method by state and sometimes multiple states to find the city I was looking for - didn't use those exact words I'm sure. Guess I was spoiled before but it seems cumbersome to me. Somehow I think my post got changed.
  23. First - used bb PRICELINE links. Not sure what is going on but had to work for this. Started with 3.5* and ran the gamet up to $67 for dates 10/10-15/2011 with no success. Changed dates to 11-10/12 and on last try got $65 win - had a $5 a night coupon from PL so total was $144.58 for 2 nights. Offer to increase stay showed up but when I clicked it said it wasn't available. Got a feeling the problem might be Saturday night. I don't find your new website as easy to get around as the old one especially in the area of seeing previous wins. Taking a state like California and looking at other cities it was hard to find the area I was looking for - wasn't sure if the Bay Area would be included in San Fran or not. Finally found a couple in the Walnut Creek area in the "other" so I guess I was in the right place. Must confess I didn't go to the calendar as I was turned off by what appeared to be only a state for a location - didn't want to spend the time searching through places I knew weren't where I wanted to go. Do like the posting a new topic area. That is a lot easier. As many times as I have used your site I still had to stop and try to remember how to post a new topic previously - you know if I don't do it daily I can't remember it. LOL
  24. Worked hard for this one - started at with 4* went from $53 to $62 - rejected but was told could have room for $71. Changed to 3.5* and went from $45 to $57 all rejected; Changed to 3* starting at $45 with caveat that could have room immediately for $52. Increased bid to $47 and was accepted. Going to OS-Utah football game and very pleased. GO BEAVERS!!! Used the BB PRICELINE links and like the new website by the way! Total price is $114.47 or a little over $57 including taxes.
